A collection of 10 worksheets, 10 activities and 10 starters (in the form of a PowerPoint) to use with your year 6 class in the run-up to SATs. The ten topics covered are those that my class were finding difficult, so I decided they needed a bit of extra revision! The worksheets use questions that are based on the SATs SPaG papers, plus a few extras. The activities are perfect for group work and prepare your class for SATs in a more interactive way. The slideshow can be used for fillers, starters or plenaries. You can also put the three together to make 30 minute lessons on these tricky topics! For example, start with the slideshow to recap prepositions, before splitting your class into groups to do the interactive activity. Finish with an individual worksheet to check each child’s understanding. This resource is a powerpoint containing 50 short SPaG starters or morning activities. Example starters include spotting nouns in a sentence, adding missing punctuation and recognising which sentence is a command. Perfect for practising SPaG.

An enjoyable five day poetry unit to use with KS1 during the summer term. During the unit, children have the opportunity to read, study and learn two poems; one about water and one about the beach. They take a seasonal walk on day 3, in which they gather vocabulary, before spending two days writing their own poetry. All activities are engaging and interactive and allow children to work as a whole class, in groups, pairs and individually. As well as gaining experience of poetry, they also spend time learning about verbs. Everything you need to teach the unit is included in the price. This resource is a set of 5 Art lessons based around the theme of the sea, oceans and water for KS1. The key skills that are taught include creating different tones and shades with paint and pencil, using shapes, patterns and lines and experimenting with different materials. There are 3 different artists used as inspiration, all of whom have painted the sea or water using very different techniques. The children have the opportunity to work alone for 4 lessons and part of a collaborative group project for the final lesson. They have lots of opportunity to choose what materials they work with. The 15 page pdf lesson plans are very detailed and include a list of any resources you will need to get out of the cupboard. There are also details of curriculum links and examples of work from my classes. I have included the simple 7 slide PowerPoint I used for the series of lessons, which contains examples of the artists’ work around which the lessons are based. I hope you enjoy the lessons! This is a plan and resources for a beginner’s Spanish lesson to use with KS2. It would be perfect to use as a first Spanish lesson, as it involves children learning the most basic vocabulary of ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye.’ The plan gives details of a group starter, how to teach the ‘greetings’ vocabulary, a whole class game, a speaking and listening activity, a simple reading and writing activity and a plenary. This resource is a non-fiction comprehension booklet for year 2. It is all about habitats and covers what a habitat is, followed by a short look at deserts, oceans, cities, rainforests, woodlands and seashores. It is split into 3 differentiated levels. There is a different booklet for each level. Each booklet contains a title page with helpful words, followed by four pages of pictures with short written extracts to read and 2-3 questions per page. There are a range of ‘what,’ ‘how,’ ‘which’ and ‘why’ questions, some multiple choice tick questions and some that require more detailed answers. Answers are also included. I have included colour and black & white versions of each of the 3 levels. The preview pages show the title page and one of the comprehension pages, from the middle ability booklets. A collection of 3 practice SATs SPaG papers for year 6. All three papers are based on a past SPaG paper 1. Each practice paper contains 50 questions focussing on a range of punctuation and grammar. Answers are also included. This includes tenses, sentence types, semi-colons, colons, brackets, hyphens, commas, subordinate clauses, prefixes, word classes, apostrophes, pronouns, synonyms and antonyms. The questions are formatted in the same way as the SATs papers, so the children are asked to circle, tick, fill in the missing gap and write full sentences. A great revision tool to use with your year 6 class in the run-up to SPaG SATs. This resource is a PowerPoint containing 50 SPaG questions based on past test papers. I have used this with my class to revise difficult topics, for fillers and in a quiz format. Revise one question a day or use for one long SPaG lesson. This is a plan and resources for a French lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning how to talk about the seasons in French. The plan gives details of a starter, how to teach the vocabulary, a listening game, a reading game, a reading worksheet and a plenary. This is a presentation on the founder of the Suffragette movement, Emmeline Pankhurst. The presentation covers Emmeline’s childhood, the suffrage movement, her protests, her imprisonment and the results of the movement. The last part of the presentation includes some interesting questions to provoke discussion. Please note there are no photos of Emmeline Pankhurst included, owing to copyright restrictions. Use this as part of a lesson or for an assembly for ages 5 - 11.

6th February 2018 marked 100 years since women over 30 were given the vote in Britain. This presentation was created to celebrate this historic anniversary but can be used at any time to teach children about the suffragettes and the Bill in Parliament that allowed women to vote. This resource is a 22 slide detailed, editable PowerPoint, perfect for teaching your children about this important topic. The slideshow covers women's rights prior to suffrage, the actions of the suffragettes, the arguments on either side, a detailed look at five particular suffragists, women during the war, the Act in Parliament, women in the 20th century and suffrage around the world. It concludes with some questions for further conversation. It is suitable for using with KS2 children and could be used for an assembly, a filler or a lesson introduction. This is a set of fun summer themed maths word problems for the summer term in year 5. There are 3 differentiated levels. Each level contains reasoning questions with answers covering all topics of the curriculum. There are 60 pages of questions in total. The higher level (called Super Super Challenge) contains questions based on the year 5 and year 6 curriculum. The intermediate level (called Super Challenge) contains questions based on the year 5 curriculum. The lower level (called Challenge) contains questions based on the year 4 curriculum. This is a 3 page pdf plan and a 15 slide PowerPoint presentation for an assembly on love, with a focus on part of a Bible quote. In this assembly, children are encouraged to think about how love should not keep a record of wrongs. The plan is easy to follow and requires no resources, so is perfect for using at the last minute! So this assembly involves using a volunteer to pretend to be you while you tell an anecdote from your childhood. You can either borrow this from the plan or recall a real one from your own childhood. There is a lot of opportunity for all children to think about their own experiences of friendship and love and to feed back. There is also an example prayer/reflection to finish with.

This is a lesson plan with accompanying resources focussing on the miracle of Jesus healing a blind man. It is suitable for using with key stage 2. It is an interactive, thought-provoking lesson.
