GERMAN PRESENT TENSE WORKSHEETS BUNDLE

GERMAN PRESENT TENSE WORKSHEETS GCSE GERMAN GRAMMAR KS3 GERMAN CONJUGATION PRACTICE KS4 GERMAN GRAMMAR ADVANCED BEGINNER GERMAN PRESENT TENSE CONJUGATION PRACTICE WORKSHEETS AND IDEAL FOR GERMAN TRANSLATION PRACTICE Five sets of worksheets with answer keys and verb lists Files are non-editable in a zipped format. This product is copyright, all rights reserved. It is illegal to copy, rewrite, amend, share or distribute it, in whole or in part, outside your own classroom in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. School / departmental licenses are available. Please read the Terms of Use carefully. The verbs groups are: = regular German verbs = irregular & mixed German verbs = high-frequency German verbs = German reflexive verbs = German separable verbs There are 2 formats: = Workbook Format: 10-page workbook, with cover page, verbs lists, six worksheets and Notes, Next Steps and New Verbs page, where students note any points they’d like to work more on, map their progress and list any new regular German verbs they learn, which helps them develop a really useful German verb bank. = Worksheet Format: worksheets can be printed out individually, or as a pack without the cover page, verbs lists and progress template, useful for quick revision, refresher, starters / finishers, and also generally saves on prep costs The answer keys are separate files in the individual zip files. The worksheets also address a broad range of vocabulary and grammar points, such as direct / indirect object pronouns, negative sentences and various question formats. Some sentences include modal verbs and subordinating conjunctions, to ensure that students can practise locating the prefix, reflexive pronoun, verb or infinitive accurately. Students may not have engaged with all the language used at this stage, and this makes the activity equally about engaging with new language, as well as practicing and reinforcing the current language focus. There are three differentiated conjugation challenges in each set: = Conjugation Challenge 1: each verb conjugated in sentence format across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding translation. Translating accurately is an important skill for language learners to engage with and master, and this kind of focused practice is really useful for them. = Conjugation Challenge 2: straightforward conjugation drill: each question gives a German infinitive and a target pronoun. Students write the corresponding German verb conjugation. = Conjugation Challenge 3: mirrors Challenge 1, with an increased challenge. Students write the German translation from an English sentence, to ensure that they are able to produce as well as recognise both the correct conjugation and an accurate translation. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their German conjugation skills in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. It’s useful to work with tense and more complex language as quickly as possible, as this gives students a more realistic experience of the language they are learning. The questions are aimed at advanced beginner German students, and are useful for students preparing for intermediate German class. Students challenge themselves and each other to create a time-sequence line, on the classroom floor or on a long(ish) table, by matching the times and clock faces. The games work well in various learning contexts, for example learn and practice during the introductory phase, refresh and revise throughout the school year and activities for sub / cover lessons. Playing in teams against a timer adds a popular competitive element, which students find really motivating. The challenges can be easily identified by the corresponding number in the top left-hand corner of each individual domino. There is a certain amount of prep involved: printing, laminating and cutting out. Laminated dominoes are easier to manipulate and will remain in excellent condition for years, meaning you will be able to use them many times. Both sets feature three games, each with a different level of challenge: = Challenge 1: times in numerical order, time phrase to clock face = Challenge 2: times in random order, time phrase to clock face = Challenge 3: times in random order, clock face to time phrase The individual sets are here: FRENCH TELLING THE TIME DOMINOES - HALF PAST QUARTER TO AND QUARTER PAST THE HOUR /teaching-resource/french-telling-the-time-dominoes-1-11381887 FRENCH TELLING THE TIME DOMINOES - RANGE OF ANALOGUE CLOCK TIMES /teaching-resource/french-telling-the-time-dominoes-3-12255692 The Lively Learning Classroom offers a wide range of French resources, including special offer bundles and freebies. ALEVEL FRENCH KS5 FRENCH INTERMEDIATE FRENCH ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE FRENCH 100 PROMPTS FOR SPEAKING AND CREATIVE WRITING WITH REFERENCE AND PLANNING SHEETS Files are non-editable in a zipped format. The product is copyright, all rights reserved. It is illegal to copy, rewrite, amend, share or distribute it, in part of in whole, outside your own classroom in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. School / departmental licenses are available. Please read the Terms of Use. Students often find speaking and writing quite challenging in French class. They find it really useful to engage with activities that require them to reproduce language they are already familiar with, be creative with that language in order to produce new language, and also enable them to engage with entirely new language. This set features 100 prompts for speaking and writing, addressing a broad range of language and grammar. The CEFR level is roughly A2-B2. The set includes a complete reference sheet and a planning sheet for class and home learning. The activity works well as a spontaneous speaking / creative writing activity, and students also benefit from a more focused approach, where they can research and plan more detailed and complex responses as their competence and skills develop. Students may not have formally covered all the language and grammar featured, as the activity is not solely about practising language, but also actively learning it. Encourage students to look for cues and prompts in the questions themselves, and this enables them to engage with new or unknown language successfully, and to use it creatively in their responses. Questions formats are varied, to ensure maximum opportunity to work with the different ways to ask questions in French. Some questions seek to elicit very similar information, but are asked in different language, as this avoids students simply parroting learned responses to fixed prompts. The prompts broadly address the following themes: college life & study; future plans; information technology; where I live; social & environmental issues; France & travel; social activity & daily life The Lively Learning Classroom offers a wide range of French resources, including special offer bundles and freebies.
