Reception Long Term Plan 2022-2023
Long Term plan for a reception class for the next academic year.
This matches my progression document and has weekly themes throughout.
All 7 areas of learning covered, important dates (these might be one day out as I had written this bit a while ago and think I may have written down the 2022 dates), super six books linked to the weekly themes and wow moments for each half term.

Reception Planning - Autumn 2, Week 4
Week 4 planning for a reception class - matching my progression document. This is changed from last years planning due to new maths small steps and a change to weekly themes which we introduced mid year. We have also made changes to our enhancement planning - now only enhancing 5 areas and having 5 child-led activities out. We are bringing back more JOY!!!

Christmas CVC writing template
A CVC writing activity that children can complete as part of adult-led learning, a CP enhancement or an end of term assessment.
Differentiated 3 ways to suit varying abilities within your class. At this point in the year it is hugely common to have some children writing initial sounds, some writing full CVC words and some using digraphs.

Many of these activities can be done through teacher assessment observing children in play but also through CP enhancements and play-based learning. No RBA tablet-style assessing here!

Reception Planning Spring 1, 2 Day Overview
The first week of term for us is only 2 days long, so rather than do an entire plan for this, I have just done a brief overview linking to the story ‘Room on the Broom’. This is the first book that we are going to explore using Drawing Club so seemed nice to link it all in together and immerse the children.
