Students are asked to consider how to go about giving feedback in a positive manner in order to achieve a better outcome. Students are asked to critique a half time team talk from Niel Warnock and how he can improve the feedback for his players.

They are asked to identify top tips to ensure that they become active listeners and things to avoid to ensure the person they are speaking with can be heard. Students then apply this to scenarios so that they can see the benefit of active listening in everyday life.

This is balanced by getting students to think about some of the responsibilities that they have. For example: Everyone has the right to a free education but students have the responsibility to ensure they are are in school on time, in uniform and with the correct equipment.
