This is the fifth lesson of five introducing students to how to carry out a research project. This final lesson gives students practical tips on how to present research findings to others. Students learn about the importance of making presentations memorable, the use of visual aids and then compare examples of good and bad presentations.

This lesson helps students to understand the benefits of making a research plan before launching into research project. Students are introduced to SMART goals and GANTT charts and are then asked to apply these to a practice research project.

This lesson looks at what research is, why it is important and when it might need to be carried out in both academic and work place settings. Students are also introduced to qualitative and quantitative research methods.

The lesson looks at statistics around employment in the UK, asks students to consider things that employers will/will not look for and finally focuses students on the welfare trap and how they can avoid this in future.

This lesson aims to help students to prepare for the world of work by understanding the positive role of volunteering in the community. The lesson looks at the positives for the community, the volunteers and the valuable job skills gained through volunteering. The lesson looks at different volunteer roles and focuses on food banks.

Sixth lesson in a series of engaging lessons looking at the positive role that a persons faith can play in their life and in the world. The unit of work covers faith and; life, history, football, wrestling, the media and miracles. This lesson looks at the role miracles play in a persons faith and how they can be a real confirmation of a persons belief in God. Students watch part of a documentary by Morgan Freeman asking questions about faith and miracles. Students then learn about the eternal wall of answered prayers and hear some testimonies of people who have had prayers answered and finally look at the biblical story of the parting of the red sea.

Fifth lesson in a series of engaging lessons looking at the positive role that a persons faith can play in their life and in the world. The unit of work covers faith and; life, history, football, wrestling, the media and miracles. Students consider how faith is portrayed in the media in subtle and unsubtle ways. They look at the examples of messianic figures such as Gandalf, Harry Potter and Aslan. They listen to a speech by Chris Pratt using the media to share his faith. Students then learn about how God is sometimes portrayed in the media and how social media can be used with regards to faith.

The unit of work covers faith and; life, history, football, wrestling, the media and miracles. This lesson looks at the unlikely link between a persons faith and wrestling. Students learn about wrestling churches in Bradford and how they are using wrestling to change peoples lives. Students learn about WWE superstars and how they thank God for their lives outside the ring. Students listen to an interview from The Undertaker about what he believes. Finally students learn about a passage in the bible about Jacob wrestling with God and what Christians today can learn from this story.

Third lesson in a series of engaging lessons looking at the positive role that a persons faith can play in their life and in the world. The unit of work covers faith and; life, history, football, wrestling, the media and miracles. This lesson asks students to consider what is similar and different between faith and football. Students then think about players from the England Nation team and their beliefs about God. Students spend time learning how Sadio Mane has used his wealth to be a benefit to others in his home village, all because of his faith and there is an opportunity for students to complete research on an organisation called Faith + Football.

This lesson focuses on some key historical events that have made a positive difference to the world we live in today. The lesson focuses on the peoples faith who made these events happen. Specifically students learn about Marting Luther King junior, Gandhi and the Guttenberg press and how these people/inventions have changed the world.

Final lesson is unit of work aiming to improve students communication skills in a variety of ways, Students are taught that conflict in group settings is hard to avoid and therefore, needs to be dealt with effectivley. Students are taught conflict management skills and are asked to apply this to scenes from The Lord of the Rings and The Office.

Students are asked to think about the value of speaking during group work, think about tips for group discussions and carry out a scripted role play.

Fourth lesson is unit of work aiming to improve students communication skills in a variety of ways, This lesson focuses on the positive role that constructive feedback can play in a persons life. Students are asked to consider how to go about giving feedback in a positive manner in order to achieve a better outcome. Students are asked to critique a half time team talk from Niel Warnock and how he can improve the feedback for his players.

Third lesson is unit of work aiming to improve students communication skills in a variety of ways. In this lesson, students consider a variety of methods of communication that can be done non verbally from eye contact, to posture, to body language.

Second lesson is unit of work aiming to improve students communication skills in a variety of ways. In this lesson students are made aware of the difference between listening and active listening. They are asked to identify top tips to ensure that they become active listeners and things to avoid to ensure the person they are speaking with can be heard. Students then apply this to scenarios so that they can see the benefit of active listening in everyday life.
