Tes Awards for International Schools 2025: entries are now open

It’s time to celebrate the very best of the international schools sector, with nominations now officially open for the Tes Awards for International Schools 2025.

The awards provide the opportunity for schools, teams and individuals to achieve success in 13 different categories, and entry is free for all international schools outside the UK delivering a British education programme, including the English national curriculum, Cambridge International Education or the International Baccalaureate.

Tes Awards for International Schools 2025

Nominations are open until midnight (GMT) on 5 October 2025, allowing schools to submit entries that celebrate their achievements from the 2024-25 academic year. The full list of categories is:

  • International School of the Year
  • Principal/Headteacher of the Year
  • Community Engagement Initiative of the Year
  • Best Use of Technology
  • Staff Wellbeing Initiative of the Year
  • Pupil Mental Health Initiative of the Year
  • Curriculum Initiative of the Year
  • Specialist Provision Provider of the Year
  • Leadership Award
  • Teaching Initiative of the Year
  • Teaching Assistant/Support of the Year
  • Sustainability Award
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award

The awards have also been supported by a raft of key organisations from the international schools sector:

  • British Schools in the Middle East
  • Council of British International Schools (COBIS)
  • The Department for Business and Trade (UK government)
  • The Educational Collaborative for International Schools
  • Federation of British International Schools in Asia
  • International Baccalaureate

Last year saw winning entries from schools in Vietnam, China, Uganda, Bahrain, Germany and many more countries.

Dan Worth, international editor for Tes Magazine, said the awards are a wonderful way to demonstrate the “remarkable standards” that international schools deliver.
