Welcome to the SQA results day 2021 live blog. Starting from the evening before results day itself - which falls on Tuesday 10 August - we’ll bring you news, analysis and reaction to all the issues stemming from a Scottish results day like no other.

After the Covid pandemic led to the cancellation of all national Scottish Qualifications Authority exams, an “alternative certification model” was put in its place. A culmination (of sorts) for the ACM is reached when SQA results data is published, but as well as all the events on the day we’ll be looking at what’s likely to happen in the weeks, months and years ahead.
