One in five primary pupils was in school on Monday amid the third national coronavirus lockdown, new data shows.
Overall, around one in seven state school pupils (14Ìýper cent) were in attendance on 11 January, including 20 per cent of primary pupils, and 4 per cent of secondary students, according to .
The figures also show that 11 per cent of open primary schools reported less than 10 per cent attendance, 47Ìýper cent reported less than 20 per cent attendance, and 98 per cent reported less than 50 per cent attendance.

For open secondary schools, 91 per cent reported less than 10 per cent attendance, 99 per centÌýreported less than 20 per cent attendance,Ìýand almost 100 per cent reported less than 50 per cent attendance.
Overall, approximately 99Ìýper cent of state schools reported that they were open.
The data is based on 82 per cent of state schools responding to the survey on Monday 11 January, and is subject to change following adjustment for non-response.
The DfE said a full breakdown of data for 11-14 January will be published on 19 January.
