Richard Atkins CBE has been reappointed to the role of FE commissioner for another two years.

Mr Atkins, former principal of Exeter and Yeovil colleges and a former president of the Association of Colleges, was appointed in 2016. It has now been confirmed he will remain in the role until 20 October 2020.

The commissioner is paid £800 a day for the part-time, ad hoc role.

Two deputy FE commissioners - Steve Hutchinson and Andrew Tyley have been reappointed for two more years.
