On the thatÌýGCSE and A-levelÌý students in England could accept their calculated grade, or appeal to receive a valid mock result, or sit autumn exams to ensure the achievements of young people are recognised.
If you are unhappy with your summer GCSE grade, you can appeal. There are more details here.
This year there will be an opportunity to takeÌý‘resit’ GCSEÌýexams in November. These exams willÌýstart on Monday 2 November and finish on Monday 23 November.
The deadline for entries will be 4 October for English Language and mathematics. For all other subjects, the deadline will be 18 September.

GCSE resits 2020
Students who are unhappy with theirÌýresults in the November examsÌýmay have an opportunity to resit English Language and mathematics in early 2021, but this has not yet been confirmed.
All other subjects may be entered again in the summer 2021 examination series.
