I wrote this resource to complement the AQA French Oxford coursebook but it could be used in conjunction with other GCSE coursebooks.
It is based on the theme of ‘Ma famille et mes amis’ and comprises 4 worksheets and 4 powerpoints.
The worksheets provide practice in:
adjectival agreement
comparative adjectives : plus … que, moins … que, aussi … que
superlative adjectives
reflexive verbs in the present tense
negatives: ne … pas, ne … jamais, ne … plus
The varied exercises have been well structured and differentiated to guide students through the challenges of French grammar and, hopefully, help them achieve a higher degree of accuracy in their writing and speaking.
The 4 powerpoints include most of the worksheet exercises with answers, making it possible for you to demonstrate grammatical points, discuss pronunciation and mark work in class with your students.
This resource complements the AQA French Oxford coursebook but it could be used in conjunction with other GCSE coursebooks.
It is based on the theme of ‘Ma famille et mes amis’ and comprises 10 well differentiated, challenging worksheets and 6 powerpoints which will give your students lots of practice in grammar (comparative and superlative adjectives, direct object pronouns, reflexive verbs in the present tense and negatives). The resource provides lots of opportunities to practise, consolidate and extend key vocabulary and, through a range of carefully structured tasks, to improve translation skills from and into French.
Find words beginning with various letters of the alphabet. A way to get your students to practise and improve their vocabulary without realising it. Ideal for KS3 students.
4 worksheets to practise and learn the vocabulary on p. 30 of Mira Express 2. Say that you can, can't, want, don't want to, have to ..... go out, tidy your room, wash your hair, take the dog for a walk etc.
If you like this resource, please take a look at my other resources in wylamuk's shop.
Thank you!
This 2 page resource is based on Mira Express 2, Module 4 - La comida: p.66, Una cena especial.
It includes exercises to develop vocabulary and helps students to learn and practise the preterite tense of regular -er and -ir verbs. There are some sentences to translate into English with a gap fill translation task based on the text, Mi cena con David, p.66.
Please take a look at my other Spanish and French resources in wylamuk’s shop. Thank you for looking!
Goes with Studio 2, Module 3 but could be used with any lesson on adjectives.
This excellent set of worksheets will give your students plenty of practice using adjectives to describe themselves or their best friend. Learn about adjectival agreement, say what kind of person you are, aren't, think you are and practice qualifiers. There is a spelling test which students mark themselves.
These worksheets have been meticulously designed and are at least as nicely presented as any resource you might buy from a respectable publisher. Please don't be put off by the preview image which at times looks distorted with text not fitting into boxes or lines missing from tables (due, I think, to the inclusion of tables/grids/text boxes); the actual resource looks professional in appearance when downloaded.

8 worksheets, 2 answer sheets (1 also on ppt.), 1 vocabulary test for peer or teacher assessment and 1 vocabulary grid to support learning. This collection will help your students acquire the key vocabulary and grammar they need to talk and write about what they wear in school, after school, in the week and at the weekend.
Ideal for in-class practice, assessment or set as homework. Tried and tested!
The worksheets complement 2 ppts. which are also available:
1) My Clothes
2) My Clothes, puzzles

Learn how to say what you or someone else is like using the verb 'ser' and a range of adjectives. Understand how adjectives work by making them 'agree' and revise numbers and plurals. Improve your speaking and listening skills by peer assessing. Another series of tried and tested worksheets your students will enjoy doing.
1 ppt. introduces the key vocabulary and verbs of the unit and a 'shared' ppt. could be uploaded to your school network for students to do on a PC at their own pace or emailed home as a homework task.

1 nice ppt. explains clearly how regular 'IR' verbs work in French while exercises on the 3 accompanying worksheets test your students' knowledge and understanding.
Also available: The Present Tense of regular 'RE' verbs.

6 worksheets to practise impersonal expressions which take the subjunctive or the indicative mood. I have included paradyms of AR, ER and IR verbs, including radical changing and reflexive in the present subjunctive. Some common irregular verbs like 'ser', 'estar', 'ir', 'tener', 'hacer' and 'decir' also make an appearance. The exercises are differentiated well and should help your students understand how to form the present subjunctive and when/when not to use it with impersonal expressions and 'querer que'.
I think this resource is more suited to G.C.S.E. students because of the vocabulary used in the examples. However, you could adapt the language to match A Level topics.
If you like this resource, please have a look at my other work in wylamuk's shop. I mostly write resources in French and Spanish to go with current coursebooks - Studio and Mira. I am currently writing G.C.S.E. and A Level resources to help teach the new syllabus.

This resource comprises 12 worksheets and 12 powerpoints and is based on the theme of homelessness. It is especially suitable for students of higher - medium ability who are aiming to achieve grade 5+ at G.C.S.E.
All the worksheets are on the ppts. making it easier for you to present, discuss and explain grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation to your students. They also provide the answers to the worksheet tasks so your students will be able to self and/or peer mark.
The resource comprises a wide range of carefully structured, differentiated tasks and includes:
a detailed vocabulary sheet with common masculine and feminine nouns appropriate to the topic.
exercises to practise the definite and indefinite articles
adjectival agreement
grâce à , à cause de
possessive adjectives - notre, nos and leur, leurs
beaucoup de, plein de, trop de and plusieurs
demonstrative adjectives - ce, cet, cette and ces
the present tense of regular ER verbs appropriate to the topic
the present tense of irregular verbs, vivre, dormir, voir, devenir, offrir and souffrir
de plus en plus, de moins en moins + adjective
expressions which are used with ‘avoir’- avoir faim, avoir soif, avoir l’air etc.
generic vocabulary to use when describing a photo card
examples of Foundation and Higher level photo card descriptions to translate from and into French
useful time expressions - actuellement, de nos jours, maintenant etc.
I have tried to repeat the same vocabulary and grammar throughout the topic for the purpose of reinforcement. The vocabulary and grammar range from being fairly easy to use to quite challenging for those students hoping to access higher grades.
I have also recently uploaded a shorter resource on the topic of homelessness for the less able.
I hope you find this resource useful. Thanks for taking a look.
This resource comprises 1 worksheet and 1 powerpoint and is ideal for helping students of low ability prepare to describe a photo card.
Based on the G. C.S.E. topic of poverty and homelessness, it could be described as a self-contained resource which assumes very little previous knowledge of the language.
16 items of key vocabulary are practised repeatedly via a range of reading, writing and speaking tasks. This ‘less is more’, repetitive approach is particularly suitable for lower ability students who find it difficult to learn and retain key language.
The powerpoint provides all the tasks included in the worksheet (plus 1 extra task), making it easier to present the language to your students and reinforce pronunciation. It also provides all the answers to each task so that self / peer marking is possible.
Thanks for looking.

This is a short test I gave my Y7 students after they had covered the first few units of Accès Studio. It tests greetings, asking and giving your age, numbers and the alphabet.
In this bundle, you will find everything you need to thoroughly cover the topic of technology. I made this resource for my middle to higher ability students and it helped them to improve their knowledge, understanding and ability to use a wide range of vocabulary, verbs and structures relating to the topic. All skill areas are covered and the materials are well structured and differentiated.
