This resource comprises1 ppt. and 4 differentiated worksheets full of tasks to practise speaking/writing about where you go/stay on holiday normally/every year and what you do there. The tasks have been carefully designed to help your students acquire key vocabulary and verbs which they can then use to speak and write about their holidays. I have included 2 translation tasks from and into French. There is a vocabulary sheet to support the learning.

Here are 21 passages for translation from French into English based on the theme of mobile technology. They are like the translation tasks which appear on AQA GCSE French Paper 3 Reading, Section C. I have included answers, broken down into 9 parts to give a mark out of 9 as they appear on the AQA mark scheme. The translation tasks and answers are also on ppt. so that you can go over them easily with your classes. Please take a look at the AQA GCSE French Reading Paper 3 (based entirely on the subject of new technology) which I wrote so my students could have more practice of the new spec exam.

The ppt. (which contains some fun elements) gives a very clear, straight-forward explanation of how to form the Perfect Tense of regular ER, RE and IR verbs in French. It starts from basics and gradually builds up the blocks which are used to form this tense. Many of the exercises on the ppt. complement those which appear on the 4 accompanying worksheets. . The 4 worksheets aim to help students improve their understanding and application of the Perfect Tense in French. A ppt. made up of 15 slides to help your students practise numbers 1-20 in French.

This worksheet follows on from My Timetable 1. It helps students reinforce the key verbs 'j'ai, il y a, nous avons, je n'ai pas' as well as key vocabulary 'mais, puis, aussi, avec, en salle', etc. + school subjects and the days of the week. I set it as a test for my Y8 students.
