Booklet containing keywords and notes relevant to creating a website using RocketCake software
Please note: this booklet is divided by topics which reflect how we split up the teaching of Rocketcake in our lessons
Please note: The booklet was made when I was using Version 3.3 (free, not professional) but I also used it to teach RocketCake 4 due to few changes in the software.
A useful companion to our collection of RocketCake resources
A checklist which can be used to support students creating websites in RocketCake
Please note: The sheet was written when I was using Version 3.3 (free, not professional) but I also used it to teach RocketCake 4 due to few changes in the software.
Please note: the sheet has a column called lessons, which reflects how we split up the teaching of Rocketcake in our lessons
This resource assumes students have been taught Arithmetic formulas, SUM, MIN, MAX, IF Statements and absolute cell referencing plus have some ability to format. Best used alongside teacher input. Basic template to help students if needed.
Aids the planning of a website - it is meant to encourage more independence and includes challenge activities. Students decide how to tackle the planning from the sheet. No software required if printed.
First in a series of lessons that aim to teach KS3/4 students how to develop a website using RocketCake 5.
Completely reworked from my RocketCake 4 KS4 lessons - students now learn by creating a website with you, starting with a master page to promote consistency.
A good tool to help students in Creative iMedia R097 if their brief can be solved with a website as no coding is required.
Lesson includes teacher PowerPoint with videos guiding the process (and an all-new voice!); client brief (PDF); separate videos (MP4) for students to play on their own; student checklist; assets to help build the page quickly e.g. logo, text; teacher solution to tasks.
A 26 page booklet containing all the words students could be made aware of for their Unit 1 exam
There is space to write their definitions/notes either electronically or by hand if printed and add some of their own words if necessary
Editable format (Word)
A visual overview of the Key Stage 3 curriculum if you follow the NCCE resources
Created as an A3 file so prints to A3 and lower easily and can be enlarged (check quality)
First of our series of lessons to teach RocketCake web design software
The lesson uses Version 3.3 (free, not professional)
Covers the interface; saving; the concept of a template (this is covered in a future lesson further); setting up a navigation menu; structuring a page with text, headings and containers
The lesson comes with a bonus alternative starter
The Web Design Using RocketCake booklet is a useful companion to our series of lessons as are our Web Design Using RocketCake videos
Includes lesson plan (non-editable)
42-page PDF booklet containing help for students in using RocketCake software
Contains a contents page to direct student to specific skills
If using with examined courses, remember to adhere to assessment rules - it is intended for practice and not as an assessment companion!
Great for Creative iMedia (R097); BTEC Level 3 IT (Unit 6) and BTEC Level 3 Computing (Unit 15)
Made for the practice phase of R097 but could be used for any lessons involving Clipchamp
PDF printable checklist where students can tick whether the technical skill has been used (with a clue to the part of Clipchamp where it is located).
Could be used for self-assessment, peer feedback or teacher assessment.
The checklist is not an expected list from any exam board - just a way to help promote as many skills as possible to students.
Part of a Knowledge organiser series to support my R093 Knowledge Map.
Includes student tasks and key information to learn for the Creative iMedia exam.
Could also be useful for a careers lesson.
This particular knowledge line is a 3-page PDF.
Database project booklet that offers opportunities to extend their learning from Booklet 1 including
Data Protection Act
Database theory
Default values
Input masks
Presence, format, type, length and range checks
Labels to help the user
Command buttons
Wildcards
Parameter queries
Parameter queries with wildcards
Calculated controls in a report
Completed database files for the end of each task included (so they can be given to students for the next task if they are absent/don’t complete a task etc.)
There will also be a Booklet 3 which will turn the database into a relational database in the future - keep an eye on my facebook page to hear about it.
The third sheet in my Adobe Audition series
The PDF file is printable and helps students to understand how to cut, split, crop, trim and extend tracks using Adobe Audition.
A little sheet I set for cover for a KS3 class.
Ideally they would have been taught shapes before, but there is a link to a youtube video to help if not!
