Exploring Combustion KS3 Chemistry
This is a fully differentiated resource that I created for my year 8 group. There are a range of activities, all with answers.

Metals and Non Metals
This is a suitable lesson for KS3 or a low ability GCSE group. The lesson has the following format:
- Differentiated learning objectives
- Do now: true or false
- Activity 1: looking at key word and comparing properties of metals and non metals
- Activity 2: Carousal activity (technician notes, student worksheet and answers attached)

All questions are differentiated and have answers.

IGCSE Edexcel Biology Revision booklet: Ecology
A revision booklet which has questions on the main areas of the ecology topic, including definitions, pyramid of biomass/number, food chains, greenhouse effect, yoghurt production).
Also contains exam questions (with the mark scheme at the end of the document) based on this topic.
Booklet is 30 pages long.

Genetic Engineering 2018 GCSE AQA 9-1
Lesson Plan attached.
Do now: engages students with an image of genetically modified mice. Identifies what they already know
Main activity: discussion about what genetic engineering is, images of genetically engineered crops, insulin production. Quiz to identify what they have learnt.
Main activity 2: students must write a news article based on genetic engineering. This task is differentiated, students can start on different tasks depending on how well they did on the quiz. For each task (red, amber, green) there are hint sheets available for each task with A-level content for the green task.
Choice of two plenaries: first plenary is questions based on the learning objectives, second plenary is an A-level question to stretch more able students.

Digestive System KS3
This is a differentiated resource for KS3 students, but could also be used for low ability KS4 groups.
There is a choice of three 'Do now' activities.
When I did this lesson, I carried out a demo showing how poo is made, whilst carrying out the demo they wrote notes on a mini whiteboard.
They then chose a task based on their target grade. Students could also use a red/amber hint sheet to help them with the write up.
For the plenary, students can go to their original mind map (if this is the activity they did at the beginning) and add anything they had learnt to show progress.
