Creating patterned cultural tiles in the style of Jill Ricci. 2 x worksheets for students to create patterned tiles based on a chosen country. One sheet offers a shape for students to complete work in, cut around and place together as a class whilst the other can be extended into a Photoshop piece.

A set of 3 worksheets suitable for Art & Design cover lessons. Students are asked to alter a famous painting in the style of grime artist Richie Velazquez. The worksheets use the paintings: Girl with a Pearl Earing Mona Lisa Frida Kahlo You can always replace the paintings on the sheet, or use student photographs instead!

A presentation and tutorial to guide students through the work of Temi Coker, creating a mixed media digital poster as an end product. Students are to draw a portrait of an inspirational figure from back history before piecing together a poster design, in the style of Temi Coker. Basic Photoshop instruction provided with room for students to make their own copy of the presentation and add their development as they progress. Analysis prompts and written tasks are also provided throughout the presentation.

Brief scheme of work aimed at a Y12 induction to Graphic Design. The scheme of work begins with students studying Rauschenberg’s collage screenprints and interprets them into modern collage pieces. Eventually, students are lead to create a social media ident which introduces them to basic After Effects functions. The slides are lesson overviews, not tutorials for Photoshop and After Effects.

Word Document guiding students through their Written Study for A Level Art & Design. The document was originally used for the Edexcel spec but can be adapted to any exam board. The style of writing encourages students to write as a commentary, rather than a traditional essay. Can be delivered at the end or in sections through the Y13 course.

A cover lesson worksheet which challenges students to take a section of Kate Brinkworth’s coke bottle paintings and replicate them using pencil colours. The task is designed to allow students to practice their use of ellipses whilst drawing, before applying colour knowledge and shading to complete the piece. Set of resources challenging students to design their own coffee cup sleeve in the style of artist Lei Xue. Xue mixes traditional Chinese Willow patterns with contemporary, pop art references. Students are asked to create their own take on this design. The set of sheets include instructions, examples and references for Lei Xue’s work. A Y7 example of the task and the coffee sleeve template. This task can be extended to develop the design and printed to actually create coffee cup wraps or reusable cups. Please note, this is a worksheet and template pack only. No presentation is included.
