Welcome to Hello Happy Island on TES. I developed my passion for supporting children's mental health development while gaining my Masters in Education focussing on Positive Psychology. All our resources are designed to promote good mental health & brain development along side key learning areas. We have a range of resources including our Adventures (for ages 4-11) built around wonderful picture books to guide them through complex social, emotional, behavioural & wellbeing ideas.

2 Digit Column Addition and Subtraction on squared paper 11 days of learning

This resource is handwritten on large squared paper to support children in securely learning column addition and subtraction whilst developing good maths presentation skills. There are 11 days of learning in this section with between 8 to 10 questions per day. There are 3 days of addition without crossing the 10s barrier, 2 days of subtraction without crossing the 10s barrier, 1 of a mixture of addition and subtraction, 2 days of addition crossing the 10s barrier, 2 days of subtraction crossing the 10s barrier and 1 of a mixture of addition and subtraction. Showing children how we expect their work to look helps them develop good habits to make learning column method easier as well as supporting their presentation. There is a gradual build up in size of number, from not crossing to crossing the 10s barrier and independence in setting out the method. There is space set out at the top for the short date and includes a title. These can be trimmed off if they do not fit with school layout policy.
