This activity includes a short introduction video, slides to help explain what can go under a city to students and an example of a model that you can set up to help explain this part of a city to students. Sustainable buildings activity In this sustainable building design activity, children will learn about eco-friendly architecture by designing their own “green” buildings. They will consider features like solar panels, rainwater collection systems, and energy-efficient materials to make their structures environmentally friendly. This hands-on activity encourages creativity while teaching kids about sustainability and the importance of reducing environmental impact. This activity includes a short introduction video, slides to help explain how buildings can be made sustainable and information sheets that students can use when designing their buildings. Sustainable energy resources activity In this activity, children will explore different types of renewable energy sources, like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, to decide which ones are best suited for a city. They’ll learn about the benefits and limitations of each energy source and consider factors like location, weather, and city needs. This activity encourages kids to think critically about sustainable energy solutions and how to make cities greener and more energy-efficient. This activity includes a short introduction video and slides to help explain what types of renewable energy resources students can plan to use in their city design.
