Lesson objective: To form expressions and use simple formulae
In this lesson, students will learn the difference between expressions, formulae and equations. They will learn to express number calculations algebraically and will complete a range of problems which require them to do this in practice.
3 levels of differentiation are provided in the worksheet as well as the answers.
Duration: 1 hour
This is an engaging lesson which comes with an interactive power point presentation and all corresponding activity worksheets. It is designed for Year 6 but could easily be modified to suit lower KS2 and KS3.
