A visually supported word bank of words related to the sea that pupils can use a rhyming dictionary to find rhyming words for. This is in like with the KS 1/2 TTT planning for A First Book of the Sea.

This is the intro of a KS3 history lesson about the D-Day invasions. It includes an audio clip, with adapted prompts for pupils to understand what they’re hearing and why, thinking about what they’d see around them and how they would feel, what might happen next. Then there is an intro into the invasions and the history of the event.

A grid made up of some simple questions about the 5 pillars of Islam, how Muslims act these out in their everyday lives, and what the 5 pillars of the pupil’s lives would be. Includes visuals of each pillar, and a template to follow. Editable. Used in a Year 7 SEN class but follows the KS1/2 National Curriculum.

An activity booklet using Widgit visuals to support pupils researching free and paid activities they can do in their free time, in their local area. Editable, made for SEN year 7 but suitable for KS1/2 pupils as well.

This is a poem that I made up to support learning from the Texts That Teach KS 1/2 poem book, A First Book of the Sea. This poem follows the layout of On the Pier, and has different family members doing different activities while on a boat. Rhyming couplets with missing rhyming words, and a rhyming word bank to finish the sentences.

This is an SEN year 7 lesson which can be edited to work for KS1/2, KS 3, or other SEN pupils. PPT that has a short speaking and listening activity about pets, input about the responsibility of pet owners, and a research task to find out how much items for owning different pets cost (BEFORE then the extra cost of having one). Pupils also have a reflection sheet to complete. Key words are supported with visual symbols.

This is short description of how playing these games will build pupils skills and retain their learning from the year. Aimed to help parents and pupils have more choices of online games that are fun but learning related! This was made for an SEN Year 7 class, but could be used for KS 1/2 classes. All websites have a link, and a picture of the website. Great to share as a link with parents, or print and send home for the summer holidays!
