This pack contains spelling sheets for all the Tricky words from phase 2 to 5. They are similar to the look, cover, write, check but with a twist. Pupils get to practice the writing in different ways such as joining the dots, rainbow writing and colourful writing before covering and having a go.

This pack has been redesigned and now includes a Set 3 Board Game and three versions of the word lotto (black, sound underlined and sound in colour) Each sound has its own bingo board apart from oy and air which are combined. Use in pairs and pupils take turn to 'Fred Talk' the word for their partner to find and colour. Or sound out a word and children colour the word in or give each children a different board and call out words from a bag. Could even be used to send home to practice. There are different words from RWI so children have more opportunity to practice the sounds

A fun visual game that can be played in small groups, pairs or individually. There are four boards in total. Each board has it own set of word cards. Players pick a word card from a box or similar or turn a card over. They then read the word and find the picture of that word. Once they find it they can put a counter or similar onto it. If playing with more than one players, then each player will need their own set of coloured counters. Could also be used in connect 4 type games.

Continue rolling and spelling each picture. Board 1 covers ay,ee,igh,ow,oo,oo(u). Board 2 covers ar,or,air,ir,ou,oy. It can be used as a writing activity and a reading activity by getting the pupils to read a chosen word by saying it's colour. Pupils identify which picture they think is missing by writing the word. Challenge slides are included for each game to solve, which include cloze procedure, word jumbles and using the word that didn't disappear in a sentence.

A bit different to the normal matching that is available elsewhere, as there is for each sound approx 2 - 6 pictures and sentences for each phase 5 sound . The sentence in some cases are also a bit silly i.e A lime with a smile... A hive with a smile. I've only change 1 or 2 words in each sentence so makes the children read for comprehension. Can also use the pictures for sentence writing, or read the sentences and draw the picture to go with it. 105 sentences and matching pictures in total.
