Key stage 3 ~ year 8 ~ two complete lessons on Electromagnets and Using Electromagnets. In these lesson pupils will describe how to build an electromagnet, suggest ways to control the strength of an electromagnet and explain the difference between induced and permanent magnets. They will then look in-depth at uses for electromagnets.

Extension questions are included on the slides and there is a pick and mix of different tasks to select from for your students. Follows the Activate 2 KS3 course.
