    Rizwana Master

    Subject Knowledge Enhancement


    Rizwana joined Tes in November 2022 bringing to the role two decades of experience of teaching secondary maths and significant experience of working in teacher training. Rizwana is passionate about the life chances of young people and strongly believes in the transformative power of a high-quality education. She is keen to support the development of entrants in to the profession to ensure they are confident in their subject knowledge as they embark on their career in education.

    iPGCE


    Now in the role of iPGCE Head of Programme, Alison enjoyed supporting students located across the world as they strive to delve deeper into educational practice and theory to develop their criticality and become highly skilled and reflective practitioners. In all of the work that Alison does she still thinks back to her own teacher training and endeavours to provide a robust structure of support for students as well as nurturing them as they enhance their professional practice.

    Straight to Teaching


    Phillipa joined Tes Institute after a 20-year career in primary education, most recently as a head of school. Phillipa is passionate about professional development and made it a priority for all her teachers and support staff, especially in the wake of the global pandemic. After joining Tes Institute as a pathway tutor in 2022 she is delighted to be part of our mission to drive up standards in teaching.

    With over 25 years of experience in education, Emma has been a leader in various school settings, spanning both mainstream and specialist schools. Additionally, she has worked at the university level, lecturing on both PGCE and BA QTS programmes, specializing in SEND, professional studies, and primary English.

    Assessment Only


    Andrew brings 25 years of school experience to his role as Deputy Programme Director of Assessment Only. Starting as a history teacher, he progressed to become a secondary headteacher, holding various leadership positions. Dedicated to aiding eligible staff in gaining QTS, Andrew works to address challenges in recruitment and retention. Eager to leverage his experience, he aims to support teachers, making a lasting impact in schools and classrooms.

    Laura is passionate about teacher training and development in nurturing our next generation of teachers. Laura has over 20 years of experience across a variety of teacher training programmes. She believes that supporting teachers in their professional development leads to improved outcomes therefore ensuring every child has access to high-quality education. Laura is honoured to play a pivotal role in supporting candidates in finding the right route for them in their education career journey, fulfilling dreams and aspirations.

    Initial Teacher Training (ITT)


    Kelly joined Tes Institute in 2016 and has worked across our teacher education programmes now leading on aspects of Tes Institute’s primary and secondary ITT programmes including school based ITT, and Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship. Kelly's responsibilities include ITT curriculum design, and implementation and training, education and development of mentors in ITT.

    Jess began working for Tes Institute as a pathway tutor in 2019. Since joining, she has been passionate in training the next generation of teachers, equipping them with the vital knowledge and skills to maximise their impact in the classroom. Her ethos centres on the pursuit of excellence in education where teachers place the personal development and educational successes of their pupils at the heart of everything they do, ensuring optimal life chances for all pupils.

    Joanne is a dedicated educator with a commitment to enhancing the professional growth. Throughout her career, she has focused on the development of teachers at all stages of their careers. With over 15 years of hands-on experience teaching secondary science and a decade in senior leadership roles, her expertise has revolved around the improvement of teaching and learning.
