1.1.7 Russian My Family Lesson 1
This lesson follows on from the second lesson on where you live and is the first lesson on family. It introduces family members in Russian and the genitive case. Activities include games, reading activites, translations and grammar practice activities. Relevant challenge activities are included as well as a vocab learning homework on the final slide.

1.1.6 Russian Where I live Lesson 2
This lesson follows on from the first lesson on where you live. It expands on the structure of “я живу” that was introduced in the previous lesson. It also introduces countries in Russian and continue to reinforce the prepositional case. Activities include games, listening activites, translations and gap-fill activities. Relevant challenge activities are included as well as a vocab learning homework on the final slide.

1.1.5 Russian Where I live Lesson 1
This lesson follows on from the second lesson on introducing yourself and is the first lesson on where you live. It introduces “я живу” as a set structure to be expanded on later. It also introduces and explains the prepositional case using city cognates. Activities include games, translations and gap-fill activities. Relevant challenge activities are included as well as a vocab learning homework on the final slide.

1.1.4 Russian Introducing Yourself Lesson 2
This lesson follows on from the first lesson on introducing yourself. It goes into further detail regarding the structures of “Как тебя зовут?” and “меня зовут” as well as expanding to include how to say “his name is” etc. Activities include games, readings, translations and gap-fill activities. Relevant challenge activities are included as well as a vocab learning homework on the final slide.

1.1.3 Russian Introducing Yourself Lesson 1
This lesson follows on from the second lesson on Russian alphabet and is the first lesson on introducing yourself. It introduces the structures of “Как тебя зовут?” and “меня зовут” as set structures to be fully deconstructed and explained in the following lesson. It also introduces and explains the Russian patronymic system. Activities include games, readings and speaking activities. Relevant challenge activities are included as well as a vocab learning homework on the final slide.

1.1.2 Russian Alphabet Lesson 2
This lesson follows on from the first lesson on Russian alphabet and continues to allow students to practice this key skill for learning Russian. As with the previous lesson it focuses on both reading and spelling, though this time introduces word-level dictation of cognates. Transcripts for teachers to read out are included in the notes of the relevant slides. All answers are included in the slides along with an automatically updating date so it is ready to use.

1.1.1 Russian Alphabet Lesson 1
This lesson is an ideal first lesson for teaching Russian and introduces not only the characters of the Russian alphabet and its sounds, but also some Russian animals, Russian names and cognates to aid students in practicing the alphabet. Handwritten Russian is also given as well as typed Russian. A slide with vocab learning homework is provided at the end.

Russian Unit 2 - Free Time / Свободное Время (KS3)
This bundle contains a 6 week unit of work containing 12 PPT lessons focusing on free-time activities including sport, music and locations
It introduces students to present tense regular and irregular verb conjugations, reinforces case endings and uses and practices the writing skills from unit 1. There are a variety of activities, including reading, listening, games, gap fills, translations, speaking, writing. Each writing activity is accompanied with links to a variety of Russian music from classical to variety to pop for students to listen to whilst working.
Homework and grammar review worksheets are also included to support learning outside the classroom.
This unit of work is suitable for KS3 students have completed my unit 1 lesson sequence with differentiated objectives at the start of every lesson. All print-outs/worksheets are included at the end of the sequence ready for printing. Instructions for activities are included either in the slides or in the notes. Transcripts for teachers to read out for listening activities are included in the notes.
Unit 1 - Introduction / Знакомство Russian Grammar Revision Worksheet (KS3)
This grammar review worksheet reviews all the grammar covered in my unit 1 (Знакомство) Russian lessons. This worksheet is ideal to give to students to work through and aid in their revision either on the run up to an End of Unit assessment or to maintain their Russian over holidays after finishing the unit.
The sheet is split up into three sections: grammatical gender, cases, and verbs. It contains activities checking both their declarative knowledge of grammar (the know-what) and their procedural knowledge of grammar (the know-how).
It could also be divided up by section to use as homework throughout the unit.
Unit 2 - Free Time / Свободное Время Russian Grammar Review Worksheet (KS3)

Unit 2 Russian Language - Free Time/Свободное Время Homework Worksheets (KS3)
7-page word document containing homework worksheets for the entire 6 week (12 lesson) Russian Language unit “Свободное Время” (Free Time). There are three to four activities per week, mostly centering around grammar, translation and writing to help students practice and reinforce the learning from that week. These worksheets can also be provided within class time as extensions for higher achieving students.
Each week/sub-topic’s sheet begins on a new page.
2.6 Unit 1+2 Revision Lesson Sequence (Пересмотр) (KS3)
Two full PPT lessons sequence revising content from unit 1 and 2, including: hobbies, sports, music, type I and II present tense conjugations, accusative and prepositional cases with prepositions, irregular verbs (e.g. ходить, любить, жить). This is the final lesson in the second unit of work on free time activities aimed as a recap before assessment.
This lesson is suitable for KS3 students and GCSE ab-initio students. Activities include: using speaking games, reading, grammar practice, writing, and translation.

2.5 Locations Russian Lesson Sequence (Куда ты ходишь?) (KS3)
Two full PPT lessons sequence on free time activities introducing: locations, “ходить в/на” + accusative, the difference between “в” and “на”. This is the fifth lesson in the second unit of work on free time activities.
This lesson is suitable for KS3 students and GCSE ab-initio students. Activities include: using reading games, reading, grammar practice, writing, and translation.

2.4 Music Russian Lesson Sequence (Музыка) (KS3)
Two full PPT lessons sequence on music introducing: instruments, “играть на” + prepositional, adverbs, revision of prepositional case and prepositions that trigger them. This is the fourth lesson in the second unit of work on free time activities.

Russian Past Tense + Aspects Lesson (feat. Literature)
Full PPT lesson teaching/revisiting Russian past tense and introducing aspects using the short story “Косточка” by Leo Tolstoy. This lesson is suitable for GCSE and higher attaining KS3 classes. Activities include: group translations, mini-whiteboard AfL activities, grammar gap-fill. This lesson is not topic specific and can be used where needed. Depending on student levels, this lesson would be best suited to a longer single lesson, or spread across two lessons (split wherever the teacher chooses). Worksheets are included at the end of the powerpoint. Only changes needed is to insert the relevant date on title slide.
