As with the previous lesson it focuses on both reading and spelling, though this time introduces word-level dictation of cognates. Transcripts for teachers to read out are included in the notes of the relevant slides. All answers are included in the slides along with an automatically updating date so it is ready to use. This lesson is the second of two lessons focusing on learning, reading and writing the Russian alphabet.

This bundle contains a 6 week unit of work containing 12 PPT lessons focusing on free-time activities including sport, music and locations It introduces students to present tense regular and irregular verb conjugations, reinforces case endings and uses and practices the writing skills from unit 1. There are a variety of activities, including reading, listening, games, gap fills, translations, speaking, writing. Each writing activity is accompanied with links to a variety of Russian music from classical to variety to pop for students to listen to whilst working. Homework and grammar review worksheets are also included to support learning outside the classroom. This unit of work is suitable for KS3 students have completed my unit 1 lesson sequence with differentiated objectives at the start of every lesson. All print-outs/worksheets are included at the end of the sequence ready for printing. Instructions for activities are included either in the slides or in the notes. Transcripts for teachers to read out for listening activities are included in the notes.
