This unit of work looks at the genre of pantomime and enables students to look at pantomime conventions, characterisation, dialogue and production values. It can be used as a KS3 scheme of work, or for any devised unit at KS4. The unit of work contains lesson objectives, learning outcomes, suggested class and homework activities and suggested open and closed questions. There are also a selection of resources included.

This power point can be used when training NQTs / new staff teaching S.E.N.D groups, or for the whole staff to consider how to differentiate for lower ability students.

I used this presentation at the start of term to encourage staff members to reflect upon personal practice, as well as reflecting on the ethos we would all like to create in our classroom. The Promise Postcard idea worked really well, and after one term I placed the postcards in staff pigeon holes where they reflected on whether they had achieved their own personal target. This red card behaviour strategy can be adapted by any educational establishment to support the management of low level behaviour. The idea is that if students demonstrate low level behaviour they are issued with the first red card warning, if they do not address their behaviour they will be issued with a second red card behaviour warning, if they do not address their behaviour and a third red card behaviour warning is given, the pastoral support team are sent for to support with behaviour or remove the student from the lesson to enable Teaching and Learning to continue. If a third warning is issued, the student is issued with a department red card detention. This 35 minute PSHE lesson plan covers the following objectives: - Understand what Female Genital Mutilation is. - Understand the facts about Female Genital Mutilation. - Understand the effects of FGM.
