Introduction to the topic of ‘Where do you live/Wo wohnst du?’ This is Lesson 1 of an 8 part topic. Aimed at KS3 pupils. This lesson comprises: Key question - Wo wohnst du? Key phrase - Ich wohne Types of dwelling/housing Where you live (area)

This lesson focuses on addicitons and unhealthy habits. It looks at reasons why people may have certain addictions, links to KS4 PSHE. Includes reading activity and GCSE-style (AQA) photocard starter.

Listening focus lesson on Healthy Living - aimed for KS4 pupils. Includes authentic French adverts related to Healthy Living, GCSE (AQA) style tasks and a dictation.

A test package based on the York Language Aptitude Test. Includes instructions, user manual, technical guide and the test itself.

Under a determined time-constraint. Pupils have to write an answer before the mouse reaches it’s hole. Used most effectively in conjunction with mini whiteboards for mid-lesson assessment for learning or as a plenary activity. I often use for quick translation activities.

Lesson which touches on the foundation of the French Republic and the values it was built on. Looks at the difference between constitutional monarchy (UK) and the French Republic. Also includes a brief history as to why the French revolution came about. Finishes with a short writing task to measure understanding.

This resources includes useful classroom language in French & Spanish for teachers of different subjects across the curriculum. It is designed to be used whole-school, to encourage all staff to speak a bit of French or Spanish in their lessons during an MFL Focus Week or on the European Day of Languages. The vocabulary is complimented by audio to aid pronunciation. The resource also includes numbers in both French and Spanish.
