Very popular display! History Netflix - a variety of television series, documentaries and films to encourage students to watch History shows on Netflix! All you need to do is print and laminate for the perfect display! I have paired this display with my Instagram display too (also available on my TES shop) and they look stunning together!! - Looks so good we put the display up twice!

This lesson looks at the issue of Islamophobia. This lesson helps students explore, confront and deconstruct stereotypes targeted at Muslims. Students will learn about the impact of Islamophobia - looking specifically at the media portrayal of Muslims, the Mosque attack in Sweden and Islamophobia Awareness Month. This lesson has been used as part of an Islam Scheme of Work within Religious Studies, however this can be used before teaching Terrorism within history, or as part of PSHE. For teaching 11-14s Holocaust This lesson looks at 'What was the Final Solution?' Students will start by looking at the Wannsee Conference and the concentrations camps. Students will look in depth at Auschwitz and Dachau using a variety of tasks (videos and sources). Students will aim to answer the following question: Explain in what ways the ‘final solution’ was different from the way the Nazi’s treated the Jews between 1933-1941. The lesson finishes by looking at the liberation of Auschwitz. This lesson is differentiated for all students in your class, and includes all resources needed. This magnificent display showcases all of the amazing things history has to over around the world! To make this display I used a world map (purchased off Amazon) and then, using the cards provided for you here, attached string to show where these amazing events took place to create this impressive display. Each fact cards includes; Image Beautiful font for each place name A short paragraph (no more than a few sentences) summarises that event or history of the country This has been tailored to my school curriculum, but this would look incredible regardless if you do these topics. Examples include; China (Song dynasty) Baghdad (Islamic World) Afghanistan (Soviet invasion) Japan (Hiroshima and Nagasaki) France (WW1, French Revolution) Germany (WW1, Weimar and Nazi Germany GCSE) Many places in America! (American West GCSE) - such as the Great Plains, Salt Lake City and more. Cuba (Cuban Missile Crisis) Titanic Egypt (Battle of El Alamein) Ireland (The Troubles) This display looks extremely impressive and I have had so many compliments on this, as well as causing a stir on social media with people who found it so impressive! To recreate the display as in my photos you will need to purchase a world map and string, however you could also place the fact cards on a display board or wall without a map and it would still look incredible! A display for the Edexcel 9-1 course on The American West 1835-1895 This is a great display which looks great in any classroom. Separated into three subtopics; Destructions of Plains Indians way of life White settlers Law and order The display includes; Key words Key people Key events Lots of pictures! KS3 Religious Studies - Lesson 2 of the Islam scheme of work This lesson looks at an ‘What are the key features of a Mosque?’. This lesson looks at the key features of mosques - students will complete a worksheet investigating each part of a mosque using information provided on the PowerPoint, complete with a variety of photographs and videos. At the start of the lesson, I encourage students to take off their shoes, wash and cover their heads so they get a full feel for what it is like to enter a mosque. Finally, students will decide what is the most important feature of a mosque and why? All worksheets and resources needed are included – ready to download and teach!
