In this lesson, students will investigate where Medieval people gained their ideas about medicine and healthcare from. Students will look at how other religions and societies influence knowledge in Britain such as knowledge from Islamic/Arab countries. They will also be able to explain the influence of the Church, supernatural ideas about astrology and the influences of Galen and Hippocrates – especially the idea of the Four Humours.
