Task Three:/teaching-resource/resource-13124177
This resource is designed for IB MYP Language and Literature educators aiming to help students prepare for Task 2 of the e-assessment, which requires writing a story based on an image-based prompt. It provides a range of practice questions that align closely with the demands of this task, offering students opportunities to strengthen their skills in crafting creative responses that are engaging, coherent, and thematically rich.
The sample questions in this resource are carefully designed to reflect the types of image-based prompts students may encounter in the final assessment. These prompts encourage students to respond to a variety of images across genres and contexts, helping them explore narrative techniques, tone, and plot development. Each prompt is paired with guiding questions that direct students to consider key aspects of storytelling, such as character development, setting, global concepts, and emotional impact.
Incorporating these practice questions into classroom activities will help students build confidence and competence in writing stories that respond to image-based prompts, while maintaining clear links to global concepts. This resource is ideal for teachers looking for high-quality, ready-made materials that can complement their teaching approach and support students in developing strong creative writing skills for the MYP e-assessment.
