This is lesson 1 in the new Bioenergetics topic for AQA new 9-1 Trilogy and Biology specification. Written by an experienced teacher, writer and examiner, for teachers to teach a whole lesson at KS4. The 'Do' slide is an activity to check understanding, statements can be matched to each part of a blank graph which students can be encouraged to have a go at drawing (you need to source this - many options available on internet for checking students work). The 'Review' are the answers which doubles up as a revision card for the student. Teaching Ideas: The Do can follow chalk and talk or similar as the teaching component, alternatively send one student in a group at a time to view the graph and report back to draw the graph shape. Students can then work out which statement belongs where, this should be followed up by teacher consolidation.
