Prior knowledge in order to compare Half-Caste to another anthology poem based on the presentation of identity would be useful. Originally taught to a mainstream, mixed ability Year 10 class, this lesson could also be adapted for Year 11 revision.

Suitable for a KS4 class beginning a GCSE/IGCSE poetry scheme of learning or an introduction to an MYP unit of inquiry that encompasses poetry.
