All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog. I find some free coding to create a new type of activity and then find some suitable content. Any content can be adapted to any activity. All I need is feedback and requests.

what is matter [video clips] [appearing pictures with questions]

A video clip which learners can play, stop, rewind and replay at any time, putting them in control of the pace at which they learn. Hovering over a series of questions reveal screenshots of the video at the point at which the questions are answered. The original activity can be found at https://learnanytime-mycreations.blogspot.com/2025/05/an-index-of-free-educational-online_92.html A picture catalogue of all my resources can be found at : https://learnanytime-practising.blogspot.com The download text file is the html coding for the activity. All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts in a Google Blog So, if you have a blog, or want to create one to try this concept out, simply copy and paste the text as a NEW POST and PUBLISH. The activities are meant to be fun, flexible and differentiated. They are meant to develop transferable skills and be cross curricular. As a result they hopefully reinforce small chunks of information and give a better understanding of a topic. Most of the activities are aimed at UK National Curriculum KS1 and KS2. There are questions in the left hand column [which change position each time the activity is refreshed]. There are answers in the right hand column [which change position each time the activity is refreshed]. Learners simply have to match the answer to the correct question by drag and drop into the central column. In version [b] of the matching the is no “marking” facility. Thinking about how the concept of the sliding puzzle could be adapted further I came up with a version with three levels of differentiation. I decided to try this out with British monarchs as a starter. Firstly, the date with just a name. Secondly, the date with a picture, and thirdly just the picture. In the grid are 8 pictures which appear in a random order each time you start the activity. They are words which all start with the letter D. The key is the BLANK frame. You can move any HORIZONTAL or VERTICAL “next door” picture into a BLANK frame simply by clicking on it. Your task is to see if you can move the pictures around until all of the pictures follow each other in alphabetical order around the BLANK frame in the middle.
