Get pupils to create this charming pop-up Mother’s Day card for their mums, carers or special people in their lives. An attractive flower basket design pop-up insert with a Happy Mother’s Day message decorated with butterflies and ladybirds. A great Mother’s Day card craft activity with a black and white version to colour in and a full colour version to create the pop-up card with. This is a really easy to use template - just follow the simple step-by-step instructions below: Colour the flowers on the background page as well as the Happy Mother’s Day planter box and items on the other page. (You will only need one planter per card) Cut out the template and fold along the middle line so that the dotted lines are on the outside Cut along the two pairs of dotted lines while the card is folded Fold the card the other way. These strips will now form two right angles that pop out when the card opens Cut out the planter with flowers and glue it onto the pop-out strips. This, along with the flowers in the background, will create a 3D effect Cut out the butterflies and ladybirds and glue them wherever you wish The entire page can then be glued onto coloured card to give it extra body Add a personalised message to your Mother’s Day greeting card. Looking for something different for your class to make for their Mother’s Day card? Then why not try out our Foldable Heart and Flower Mother’s Day Card with your primary learners? This card transforms from a small love heart and, when opened, blossoms into a lovely flower for pupils to give to their mum this Mother’s Day. Pupils can decorate their unique cards using the shapes provided or decide to add in their own drawings to make their card special. How to Make: Decorate the card using the shapes provided or drawings of your own. In the centre of the flower, write a kind message to your mum. You can cut out one of the Happy Mother’s Day decorations and glue it in if you wish. Fold the card in half horizontally and then unfold. (A mountain fold, i.e. the design on the outside) Fold the card in half on both diagonals, unfolding each time. (Valley folds, i.e. the design on the inside) Holding the sides of the flower at the fold, bring your fingers up and together. The flower should come together to form a heart shape. Decorate one side of the heart by glueing the extra decorations in place. Use a hole punch to make a hole through the layers of the card and tie a piece of ribbon to keep it in place.
