A range of worksheets on writing acrostic poems for Mother’s Day, for your pupils to fully celebrate the amazing women in their lives. This resource is designed for pupils to write their special person an acrostic poem, with sheets for their mother, grandma, aunt, sister and step mum.

Each worksheet includes a double page, with the acrostic poem template on the left-hand side, and on the right-hand side they fill out a full profile sheet on their special person, including sentence starters such as: I call her, When we’re together we, She is the best at and I love her because, as well as a Happy Mother’s Day, Love … box to sign off.

A great way for your pupils to create a fully personalised gift to give to their mum, grandma, aunt, sister, step mum or other loved ones and special people. Pupils also get the opportunity to develop their creative writing skills and understanding of the acrostic poetry form, whilst showing their gratitude and love for the special people in their lives.
