The lessons starts by a quick review of the factors that affect enzyme activity before a exam style questions on enzymes. This is not a stand alone resource and best used with the revision collection.

Very big lesson (I ran it over two hour with year 10). The lesson start but looking at the definition of a parasite via a couple of videos. There is then a hinge point question that leads into a mini SOLO task. This is followed by an exam question and model answer to discus the marks and key points. The task then turns to mutualist looking at the species that are recommended on the exam spec. The lesson finishes with an exam q.

Students that have a look at the water cycle, led by the teacher, before students look at clouds in a practical way. Student then have a go at making water stills. The lesson returns to exam spec questions finishing with an exam question.

The tasks involves looking at a step by step to eutrophication. The main focus of the lesson is to get the students to answer and improve a 6 mark question.

The lesson starts with a reviewing protein and nitrogen fixation. The students then build a nitrogen cycle based on information sheets around the room (with in the ppt). Students then attempt a worksheet before the lesson concludes with an exam question.

The resource is a spreadsheet containing topic CB1- CB9 quick quiz questions. There are 550 questions, use the drop down to select for topics. This is a resource to promote the recall of knowledge for the new tough linear exam. I use this when planning for starters and plenaries. The lessons starts by reviewing previous learning before looking at aerobic and anaerobic respiration via demonstrations and questions. The lesson then get students to focus on a comparison of aerobic and anaerobic respiration in the style of a GSCE 6 mark question. The lesson concludes with an exit ticket

The resource focuses on memory and key facts about maximizing the rate of diffusion. I do a dissection during the lesson however is not necessary, the lesson moves onto looking at surface area to volume ration and concludes with an exit ticket.

The lesson starts with 8 recall questions before discussing the components of blood. The information is summerised in a carousel style task looking at the function and adaption of each component of blood. The lesson then moves to looking at the different blood vessels and a adaptions of each. This is a lesson very much focused on memory and short activities.

The lesson start by engaging the students with a guess the LQ activity. The students then are guided through producing a mind-map of the spread and prevention of the exam spec diseases before they attempt a 6 mark question. As a class they review the mark scheme self assess their own work and redraft to perfect there answer.
