This lesson introduces learners to what a stakeholder is, we discuss examples of stakeholders, students consider the stakehodlers of their school, we then go on to look at the different interests of the stakeholders. Some consolidation activties such as matching stakeholders to definitions or a more challenging version included.
Students consider the most important and least important interest for each stakeholder before going on to complete a 6 mark analyse question on Apple. A model answer is given with context highlighted in red - to help students build this important skill. Finally we look at conflicting interests of stakeholders with examples.

This set of resources includes 2x ppts, 4 words files and can be delivered over 3-4 lessons. Learners are introduced to ways of raising capital from within and outside the business. We look at the various types of finance with their pros and cons. We then look at a concise case study of a firm that requires capital but wants to only use internal finance - a 12 mark question on this with structure guidance and a concise model answer for students to use when peer assessing. A peer assessment grid and how it is used by examiners is provided for students to make improves on WWW and EBI.
We then go on to consolidating the knowledge with some matching and recall activities before a group activity, students are put into groups and given scenarios that require finance, students decide which sources of finance are most appropriate for scenario and present ideas back to class. Class then decides who the weakest link is (encouraging application and evaluation skills)
A case study and 12 mark question on venture capital is included, structure guidance and a concise model answer is provided to help students develop their exam technique. A link to a kahoot quiz and box plenary to finish off with. I have found this to be a very engaging set of lessons personally.

This double lesson introduces learners to what motivation is, students reflect on what motivates them. Financial and non financial methods are discussed. Two case studies, two 9 mark questions, one with guidance to help write a model answer.
I have included Maslow’s hierarchy of needs although they do not need to know this for this particular course, however it helps with understanding motivation and extend their knowledge on the topic.

This 3 lesson bundle introduces learners to what the economy is made up of by discussing GDP and strong/weak economies around the world for a good foundation. We look at the business cycle and break down what happens at each stage, students have plenty of assessment opportunities to consolidate this knowledge.
The second lesson looks at exchange rates and interst rates and their effects on consumers and businesses, calculation practice included and other activities to consolidate this knowledge.
The final lesso looks at inflation and the effects of it, interesting examples included of the effect of inflation over the last few decades. We finally look at taxes and a range of group activities such as a class debate on increasing taxes.

This double lesson introduces learners to critical path analysis, quite a tricky concept to understand at first for a lot of students - but not with this powerpoint. We start with an engaging starter to contextualise the topic, then we break down the elements of the critical path such as node, EST LFT, activities and durations so that we can see how it is built. Guidance is displayed step by step how to work out EST and LFT.
Students have opportunities to practice completing and calculating critical path analysis, including working out the EST and LFTs, float times and the critical path. A kahoot quiz with a link to consolidate the first lesson’s learning.
We then look at the advantages and disadvantages of CPA, followed by a concise case study on the usefulness of using CPA (questions can either be calculations or essay based so both are covered here). This lesson introduces learners to consumer protection law and employment protection law. We look at both in detail with their pros and cons. Real life examples are looked at with two engaging scenarios/videos.

This double lesson introduces learners to conflicts and trade-offs between macroeconomic objectives and government policies. We go through a few examples of conflicts before looking at the trade-off between inflation and unemployment using the Phillips curve - step by step animated diagrams to make it easy to understand. Some case study scenarios included to contextualise. As it is the last lesson of theme 2 - students are given topics to prepare mini lessons on.

In this lesson, learners are introduced to depression and the behavioural, emotional and cognitive characteristics of it.
We start with a discussion on the difference between sadness and depression, we look at the definition and categories of depression that exist. We then focus on the characteristics of depression. This triple lesson brings together students’ understanding of macroeconomics from the whole course with a focus on fiscal, monetary and exchange rate policies, as well as supply side policies and direct controls. This could be delivered in a student led way, students present what they’ve learnt back to the class and then go through the slides and fill in any gaps in knowledge. Lots of video case studies for students to contextualise the macroeconomic policies. True or false quiz questions to consolidate understanding. This lesson introduces learners to quantitative sales forecasting, the lesson is broken down right from the beginning - we recap how to work out basic averages learnt in math, we then look at an example of how to work out 3 year moving average and then to centring with 8 figures, all broken down step by step. We then look at the limitations of using quantitative sales forecasting.
We then go on to read a concise case study where students have to work out the moving averages and then answer a 20 mark question (this can be done as a discussion or answered as an exam question), concise model answer is given and students can see how to structure a 20 mark question.

This lesson introduces learners to competition, competitive advantage and what makes a market competitive. We go through each way a business can gain advantage, then we contextualise each of these ways. Real examples of how businesses compete with each other, rather than competing on price.

This lesson introduces learners the types of conditions which push or pull countries to operate in different countries. We then go on to look at the difference between off-shoring and outsourcing with examples, pros and cons are discussed.
A concise case study on an IT company Xceed is looked at, and why they decide to operate in a different country - this is a good build up to the next lesson where we assess countries.
Guidance and some structure is given, then students can look at a concise model answer to help with self assessment
