This is an E-safety assembly or lesson, which focuses on responsible online gaming and the importance of good digital citizenship. Children can discuss their online gaming habits and behaviour, reflect on how this connects with being a good digital citizen and solve problems linked to wider issues of internet safety. This resource is most suitable for upper Key Stage 2 and is fully resourced with planning, an 11 slide teaching PowerPoint and an independent task. This is a set of two cyberbullying assemblies - one for KS1 and one for KS2. They focus on explaining cyberbullying and giving the children the opportunity to discuss potential scenarios that could occur online. There is then also an independent task, in which the children can show their understanding by creating a ‘cyber superhero’. The PowerPoint can be used for a class, year group or whole school assembly, focusing on what cyberbullying is and how children can deal with it. It is an ideal resource for Safer Internet Day. Alternatively, the PowerPoint can be used in class for a cyberbullying lesson, as there is also an independent task and full planning provided. This is a primary school assembly or lesson related to e-safety and digital footprints. It can be used across KS2, but is also easy to adapt for younger children. The topics covered also tie in nicely with Safer Internet Day. The main focus of the lesson is to identify what is meant by a digital footprint, before considering the importance of ensuring that we create a positive one. The children can discuss different online scenarios and how to deal with them, then they can design their own digital footprints, based on their own online behaviour. Topics covered include mental calculations with all number operations, measures, shape, fractions, decimals, money, place value and problem solving. The PowerPoints can be used on screen for whole class activities or printed for independent/small group tasks. The harder version is aimed at Years 5 and 6, while the easier version is more suitable for younger or less able children. Each session also contains a challenge task for more able pupils. A fun and easy-to-do lesson for KS2 English, which is ideal as an independent task during a class book study. The objective of the lesson is for the children to create an imaginative and descriptive list of 10 things that you would find in the pockets of a favourite book character. This could be carried out as a stand alone activity or as part of a wider book study topic. There is differentiation built into the lesson, with challenge tasks and writing support for those who need it. All planning is also included in the pack. The flexibility of the lesson means that I have been able to use it in Years 3/4 and in Years 5/6.
