This covers what the content for A2.Environmental Factors If you are following my SoW 2024-2025, this is Week 12, this now relates to PSA Task 2. There are homework tasks for both Level 1 and Level 2 which are adaptable to suit your need eg.date There are activities aimed at building up student notes to have with them in the PSA and capture understanding and can be referred to whilst students complete the PSA Controlled Assessment Task 2. All the spec content relates to PIES development in a 29 slide presentation which has pause points for student contribution and breaks to complete set tasks in pairs or as individuals. The package covers the complete content for the part of the spec A2.Environmental factors. There is a comparison task for students notes and reference relating to the one factor in two different life stages as per the assessment criteria for Task 2. To finish there is a Mock Task 2 practice assessment to prepare students for their actual controlled assessment PSA. BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care Component 1 - a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers all that is needed for the life stage Middle Adulthood (46-64 years-olds) If you are following my SoW 2024-2025 this is Week 6, there is less in the content delivery so this week is an opportunity to start preparing students for their PSA Task 1. There are activities and worksheets to work on independently and homework for both Level 1 and Level 2. All the spec content for Middle Adulthood is included in one presentation with 40 slides which have animation so text is delivered in chunks. These cover the expected key characteristics in each of the PIES classifications. There are 10 activities for students to practice planning for the PSA in a visual steps format and then a written piece of work that is A4 but can be enlarged to A3. There is a 32 slide PIES development presentation which is applied to the spec range of cultural factors. There are several activities within the presentation to keep students engaged and pause points for contributions. The activities summarise points that will be easier to refer to in their PSA in January. With this in mind the homework tasks for both level 1 and level 2 students will build up understanding and again give students their own work/notes which can be with them when they are in their controlled assessment hours for Task 2. This is a resource package for teaching the New BTEC HSC Level 3, Unit 1 Human Growth &Development through Life Stages, A4 Social Development and covers all that’s on the spec. It has a 10 page booklet you can add to or alter, which has presentation note pages for the 2 PowerPoints, activities and homework tasks so it’s pretty engaging and the student can print it off and refer to sections themselves for revision. There is also an exam paper to test progress for A4 and a simplified mark scheme which allows peer marking to save time. BTEC Tech Award Level 1/2 Health and Social Care (2022) Component 1 - a complete teaching package to pick-up and run with. This covers what the content for B1. Life Events; Lifes Circumstances and B2. Support that goes with the life events and an individuals disposition and outlook. If you are following my SoW 2024-2025, this is Week 16, this now relates to PSA Task 3a (Life Event PIES) and 3b (Support) . There are homework tasks for both Level 1 and Level 2 which are adaptable to suit your need eg.date There are activities aimed at building up student notes to have with them in the PSA and capture understanding and can be referred to whilst students complete the PSA Controlled Assessment. There is the continued literacy support with useful vocabulary, again and a case study example PIES. There’s a 42 slide presentation covering all aspects surrounding life events and looking at both the positive and negative impact on PIES. There are lots of activities to get students thinking about the B1 and B2 words in the spec using a flow chart bringing ideas together. The content covered is:- Life circumstances: • moving house, school or job • exclusion from education • redundancy • imprisonment • changes to standards of living • retirement The character traits that influence how individuals cope: • resilience • disposition – a person’s character traits, e.g. positive, negative All the resources are in a format you can adapt to suit your need.
