This resource includes one template and one complete Year 2 common misconception words board game for up to 4 players. It’s A3. I’ve been struggling to engage my Year 3 class into learning their tricky words so came up with this. When a child’s playing piece lands on the circle they must write word in a sentence. Feel free to edit the words to suit your class. Hope this helps.

I’ve created this resource to help teach my class historical facts about life in the trenches during World War 1 (The Great War). There are 8 tasks for the children to complete using Minecraft. Some tasks have smaller, mini tasks within. This resource is perfect to use to aid and support your teaching of the computing curriculum and uses gaming as a tool to emerse the children in WW1. Each slide has a fact/stat to help increase the children’s knowledge. I’m using this activity to help enrich my classes writing where we will be writing a letter from the trenches. **The aim is to improve pupils scores over the year and parents/teachers are encouraged to either record time or score to see if the child can better themselves each time. I also use these in class as revision aids or for quick games like make a column or row v a partner. Recently, I’ve started quizzing my class at the end of the week on the colour that they are on in the style of a Maths Bee! A bit like a spelling bee but obviously with Maths facts! That means there are 23 weeks worth of Mental Maths Homework with this resources This is set 3 and covers curriculum areas in Years 3 and 4 Included in this resource is set 3 of challenges that I send home to parents to help increase my pupil’s mental maths abilities and readiness for any impending Multiplication test at the end of Year 4! The pdf is a thorough guide on how to use and gives yourself and the parents suggestions on how to use and adaptations to try at home. There are 23 challenges with 13-15 questions for each challenge. This worksheet uses Minecraft to enthuse the children to learn position and movement. Some of the questions stretch the children by asking them to write instructions for a beebot and some q's have Minecraft objects that start in a diagonal position. This interactive whiteboard game is fab! Boys and girls love it. I use this to test children's reading skills and use it to model sounding out words. The children must come up and drag car to the correct word. The children can also play in pairs and challenge one another. I have made 3 versions and one maths version using Numicon.
