2 documents to revise for A Level - Un sac de billes. A list of quotes linked with main themes One A4 revision guide per themes, with quotes and main points in French using sophisticated structures and key terms.

This is a 2 hours sequence about the scene in which the Pere Jean gives a sermon about charity and an angry parent leave. This is an important scene about how the indifference of many led to the consequence we know. This 2 hours lesson helps students develop their analytical skills using the PETAL ( point, evidence, technique, analysis and Link) system for better essays. A 20 minutes fun Quiz about 13 main quotes. A great starter for an end of term to remind students of the main themes, vocabulary and 13 main quotes to use in essays. My students really enjoyed it. You can make it harder by asking students to add chapters. PPT to use in class and the list of quotes on a word document to use for homework and revision.

2 hours worth of reflection around the significance of the relationship between Salamano and his dog in L’Etranger by Albert Camus. Includes key words, a gapfill activity, a translation, discussions, drawings. It will help develop thought process around the major themes of the novel, using the interesting conflicting relationship of the neighbour and his poor dog. My students enjoyed it as it is a part of the book they could all relate to as they all felt entrigued.

Reading comprehension. Students to access long story in French. Pack contains: 4 documents. - Word document, whole story of Pierre et le Loup" for teacher to refer to. - Word document with whole story disorganised for students to cut out and reorgonise as they hear the story. - Worsheet where students can read the story and highlight the words: Loup, Canard, Chat and Oiseau. Can give out both A4 or only one part. Would suggest starting the whole unit with this one. - Wosheet: An extra exercise as extension or to begin the next lesson where students have to read a short passage and draw what happens. You have the image so you can show the students when they have completed their own drawing.

Display with places in town with French colours houses around the street with labels around the houses.

Reading comprehension linked with Health problems J'ai mal + body parts. Text ( about 200 words long) + 10 questions in English and a grid to complete finding the words in the text. Possibility to Answer a question at the end to create own text as extension or home work.

Listening comprehension with transcript and audio file. Print the questionnaire for all students to complete using full sentences.

Previous learning required: - Alphabet in French - Numbers from 1 to 100 - Be AWARE! Change logo with own school logo! - Speaking activity A/ B : Questions Quel est votre prénom? Comment ça s'écrit? Quel est votre numéro de téléphone? etc... Practise the questions before the activity. To differentiate, give the questions to less able students.
