This Unit is linked with the Identity unit in IB. The student will explore the concept of counter culture by looking at Banksy and street graffiti in Paris. Later, they will make a presentation [BLM, Yellow jacket, hippies…], discovering new countercultures. Using the imperative, they will create their own graffiti and prepare a street art exhibition. The unit has three reading comprehensions, writing and listening task and oral for HL and S. This ressource will help you to review french food and talk about Francophonie. It is done in a way that student will guessing and can engage in small conversation avec each picture. I really enjoyed doing this with my French II this year, they ended up making their own gastronomical trip. Just a different way to look at our francophone world !

This exercise is made to review subjunctive and past subjunctive with a love song from Benjamen Biolay. The last part of the exercise is dedicated to the linking words that are using subjunctive. The exercise are made for all level SL and HL. Student will able to practice conjugation and understand the construction of subjunctive.

Voici un projet qui peut aider à faire réfléchir aux stéréotypes culturels. Les élèves vont imaginer leurs propres personnages d’Astérix et Obélix. Ils peuvent utiliser leur sensibilité internationale et faire leur présentation basée sur leurs origines. Student will imagine their own character ofAsté rix and Obélix based on their own coutries. It is a fun way to talk about history, famous character and general habits. In an IB class this project was a great way to discuss cultural stereotypes and how we should handle them.

You may want to review past tense using a little fun. This activity is designed around past tense ( Passe-compose) and daily routine. Student have to make their own song ( rap) using past. I enjoyed it with my French II this year.
