A whole lesson exploring Christian baptism for Eduqas Religious Studies 1-9 Christian Practices. Looks at infant baptism as well as believer baptisms, what happens during a baptism and why baptism is important. GCSE style question included. Hyperlinks for online video’s in note sections. Hodder textbook useful for providing students with Sources of wisdom and authority in completing the worksheet built into the document.

Approximately 1-2 lessons on the Sanctity of Life from a Christian and Muslim perspective. Includes religious teachings, activity sheets etc. Could be used as a standalone lesson(s) or as part of a bigger unit of work.

A minimum of 3 lessons cycle of learning looking at justice. It explores justice for children, the parable of the sheep and the goats, a few other Christian ideas, as well as Nicholas Winton and what he did in the build up to WW2.

Approximately 1 lesson on worship in Christianity. Designed for Eduqas religious studies 1-9. Explores liturgical worship, informal worship, individual worship and group worship. Also gets students to look into some denominational differences.

Approximately 1/2 lessons on Christian sacraments for Eduqas 1-9 religious studies. Explores the different sacraments as well as allowing for some independent learning.

Approximately 1/2 lessons on Christian prayer for eduqas 1-9 religious studies GCSE. Explores different types of prayer, why people pray culminating in a GCSE question.

5 Pillars - Assessment, worksheet and DIRT. An assessment we use after our cycle of learning into submission and obedience that is contextualised in the 5 pillars of Islam. The assessment takes the form of a sheet, with a DIRT slide and modelled answer.

Shirk - Islam. A 1-2 lesson cycle of learning exploring what students value and the difference these things make before looking at Muslim beliefs about Shirk and why it is important.

Ummah (community) - Islam. A 2+ lessons cycle of learning exploring student beliefs about community before looking at Muslim beliefs about the Ummah and why it is important. Contextualised within the concept of Hajj.

Jihad (struggle) - Islam. A 2+ lessons cycle of learning exploring student ideas about struggle before looking at Muslim beliefs about Jihad, contextualised in the struggle of fasting during Ramadan.

Tawhid (oneness of God) - Islam. A 1-2 lesson cycle exploring Muslim beliefs about Tawhid (the oneness of God)

Church- Christianity. Approximately a 2 lesson cycle of learning that looks at the concept of Church (community of Christians). It explores the student’s attitudes to community before looking at different communities of Christians.

Jesus - Christianity. Approximately 3 lessons of content in a cycle of learning that looks at the concept of Jesus. It explores the student’s attitudes before looking at a variety of beliefs about Jesus.

God - Christianity. A 3-4+ lesson cycle of learning that looks at the concept of God. It explores the student’s attitudes before looking at Christian beliefs about God and the Trinity.

Celebration - Introductory Concepts. A 2-3 lesson cycle of learning that looks at the concept of celebration. It explores the students attitudes and looks into Christmas as well as the aboriginal rite of passage - walkabout.

Storytelling - Introductory Concepts. A 2-3 lesson cycle of learning that looks at the concept of storytelling. It explores the students attitudes and looks into the value of storytelling for religious and non-religious people. Looks at some well known Bible stories.

Afterlife - Introductory Concepts. A 2-3 lesson cycle of learning that looks at the concept of afterlife. It explores the students attitudes and looks into ancient Egyptian and Hindu beliefs about the afterlife.
