Non-religious ideas about Creation - Issues of Life and Death Eduqas Religious Studies 1-9. Includes the Big Bang and Stephen Hawking’s theory. Approximately 1 lesson. Includes modeled 15 mark answer.

Ummah (community) - Islam. A 2+ lessons cycle of learning exploring student beliefs about community before looking at Muslim beliefs about the Ummah and why it is important. Contextualised within the concept of Hajj.

Revision sheets designed to help students revise topics in under an hour and sub topics in 10/20 minutes. Aimed at students who do little or no revision and students who struggle with where to start. Also acts as a checklist for the content for Eduqas / WJEC religious studies 1-9 GCSE.

A 2-3 lesson cycle looking at the incarnation of Jesus. Intended for KS3 but could easily be adapted for KS4 (Eduqas, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC specs). Looks at what incarnation means for Christians, what evidence there is that Jesus is both human and God, historical evidence for the existence of Jesus, what is the impact of the incarnation for Christians before then evaluating the concepts importance and then considering the views of the students.

Assembly on Ramadan.

A cycle of learning on the problem of evil and religious responses to the problem of evil from the Issues of Good and Evil topic for Eduqas Religious Studies Route A. Approximately 2 lessons worth of content. Explores issues to do with evil and the responses to this. All resources can be found included in the PowerPoint.

A 2-3 lesson cycle covering euthanasia. It explores students views to different forms of euthanasia and the potential impacts on society. It then explores religious views on euthanasia before looking at a famous rugby player whose faith helped him until the end. The cycle finishes by looking at different case studies and what different people, including the students feel about them. All resources included in PPT and video link suggestions etc. too. Can be used for GCSE or KS3.

Human Rights GCSE Religious Studies (designed for Eduqas)/Wjec). This is a work pack and PowerPoint which we use for the whole unit, including human rights, prejudice and discrimination and wealth and poverty. It is designed for use by our trained RE teachers and non-specialists. Can also be used for long term cover. As the booklet/work pack is a PowerPoint the resource is adaptable to suit individuals, or to add/remove content. The unit contains Human Rights, Social Justice, Personal Conviction, Censorship, Extremism, Prejudice, Discrimination, Wealth and Poverty. It has been designed to be taught from a Christian and Muslim perspective.

A cycle of learning on forgiveness from the Issues of Good and Evil topic for Eduqas Religious Studies Route A. Approximately 2 lessons worth of content. Explores issues about what forgiveness is, a case study from Rwanda and Christian attitudes and values towards forgiveness. All resources can be found included in the PowerPoint.

Origins of human life - Issues of Life and Death Eduqas Religious Studies 1-9. Includes different ideas about the origin on human life, both religious and non religious (evolution). Includes exam question.

Approximately 1/2 lessons on Christian prayer for eduqas 1-9 religious studies GCSE. Explores different types of prayer, why people pray culminating in a GCSE question.

1-2 lessons (more if using documentary) on Worldwide Church, Evangelism and Mission for Christianity practices Eduqas Religious Studies. Students explore the concepts of evangelism and mission looking at why some Christians believe these are important elements of their faith.

An assembly looking at the conversion of St. Paul and how he changed. Contextualised in the England rugby success of 2003.

Designed for tutor time. Engage students in a discussion about the merits of voting and why some people choose not to vote before moving on to exploring some key policies in the following areas: Health and Care, Economy and Taxes, Education and Family, Housing, Transport and Environment and the Key Priorities. Students then compete a mock election and you can reveal how they would vote based on the policies above. Voting slips and tables are at the end of the PPT.
