A couple of revision lessons for the AQA Literature poetry anthology: Love Through the Ages, pre 1900 poetry. The lessons consist of two starters, a theme tracker, speed revision tasks and then three questions on each poem to aid revision and challenge students ready for their A Level exam.

A lesson that reminds students step by step what to look for in an extract (using the final minutes of the play), gives them a list of past questions and possible ideas for questions that might come up, a speed plan revision clock and finally a focus on how meaning is created through character. A revision lesson for the unseen poetry section of paper 1, Love Through The Ages. The lesson reminds students about the examiner’s key messages for this question then gives them a practice question, comparing poems by Marlowe and Coleridge.
