This resource contains five detailed and thorough timelines for each part of the specification. On each timeline are five separate themes - Understanding of disease and medicine, Public Health, Surgery, Role of Women, and Impact of War and Technology. The knowledge is specifically for the IGCSE Pearson Edexcel course. These have proved very popular with my students, especially with planning exam-style questions and improving chronological understanding. A big time saver!

Included in this resource is a one page summary of the causes of the American Civil War and an activity sheet. This divides the causes up into economic, social and political causes. The economic causes has been done for them as we studied this earlier in the year. This can also be adapted easily for long-term and short-term causes. The presentation has an activity on it that is liked by my students - significance circles. This helps them form a judgement on the significance of each cause.

Revision activities for the first section of the Democracy to Dictatorship course for the History IGCSE. Included is a storyboard activity to use with the information in the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE HIstory (9-1) revision book. Students review key content through the storyboard activity on Weimar’s early problems and then apply this to an exam style question.

Lessons covering the second section of the Edexcel IGCSE course focused on Social Tensions in 1920s America. They are created to be used with the authorised Edexcel IGCSE textbook. Lessons cover: immigration The Red Scare Sacco and Vanzetti Attitudes to Black Americans KKK Monkey Trial Prohibition Will save hours of planning time.

These Power Points give an overview of the historiography surround Fascist foreign policy, the economy and the rise of Fascism in Italy. Essential to A-Level students. My students found these an excellent source for historians quotes and interpretations for essays. This will save the teacher lots of reading.

These quizzes are for OCR SHP 1-9 Elizabethan England, the Daily Lives section. They cover topics such as the rich, middling sort and labouring poor. Also, family life and the rise of poverty. Using quizzes like these has dramatically improved results. They are based on research that shows low-stakes testing improves the retention of subject knowledge.

This resource contains precise knowledge for each of the five protests you have to study for the OCR SHP Paper 2 - Luddites, Tolpuddle Martyrs, Rebecca Riots, Match Girls Strike and the Suffragists/Suffragettes. This knowledge is thorough and categorised into causes, methods, key events, authorities reaction and outcomes. The Suffragettes knowledge is presented on a timeline as I have found this the easiest way to demonstrate the changes in the methods of the protest.

This resource was created for a ‘turbo’ revision lesson with GCSE pupils. It has structured answers with example paragraphs and a detailed simplified timeline of Reconstruction in 4 distinct periods. Pupils found this very useful. There are two 10 mark questions (explain why America expanded and why the Civil War started) and an essay question on Reconstruction. This worked well and was designed to be done in an hour.

This resource has a thorough timeline of the Crime and Punishment course for OCR SHP 1-9. However, it can be easily amended for other boards. The timeline is split into 4 parts - 1250-1500, 1500-1750, 1750-1900 and 1900-present. There is Blue line and information for crimes, red for law enforcement and green for punishments. It is a very effective overview and cuts the course down simply for students. Students like these a lot as the can easily see key changes and continuities, and also the 5 key factors they have to analyse in each period.

Comprehensive revision guides that summarise key content and includes information from academic texts. Revision tasks focused on exam questions throughout. Students found these very helpful and are a key reason why progress scores were consistently strong (ALPS 2 four years in a row). Two storyboard revision activities to be used with the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE revision book. This activity reviews the content and themes for the third section of the course, looking at the rise of the Nazis.

These resources cover the content in the fourth section of the Germany course for the IGCSE. They help reinforce chronological understanding and to cover key content in an accessible way. Storyboard gap fills are used, a ‘tell me a story about…’ sheet on events leading to Hitler becoming fuhrer and other review tasks. These are to be used with the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE revision book.

This resource was created for a ‘turbo’ revision session that lasted an hour. There is an explain question on the expansion of slavery with a detailed but simplified overview of three key reasons why this happened. There is also a 9 mark (write an organised summary) question on the railways and two plans for questions on homesteaders. There is a detailed summary of the Homesteaders section to aid with these plans. Pupils found these very useful and were able to access the exam questions well.

These resources cover all five chapters of the USA 1918-1941 IGCSE Pearson Edexcel course. Each PPT has multiple quiz cards testing key knowledge in all 5 chapters. Each slide in the PPT has a questions and answers section which can be cut out, stuck back to back, then laminated. I keep mine in pouches on a display for my GCSE students to use in class whenever needed.

History Competition to challenge year 10 pupils. This competition requires pupils to do their own research and write to a very high level. It asks them 'Could Britain and America have taken action sooner to stop the Holocaust? Prizes are given for best answers.

Simple enjoyable task for pupils to summarise the text in the OCR book. Pupils then review various sections of the 1250-1500 section of the course by looking at various trials.
