If you’re looking to update your number posters on your classroom display then these cute plant themed classroom decor posters are great for engaging little learners in using numbers 1-20 with ten frames with increased confidence. Each poster contains the number in digits, words and a ten frame representation to support youngsters with the math curriculum.
In order to progress with number work, there’s also a set of posters counting in multiples of ten from ten to 100, again containing each number in digits, words but a base ten representation this time.
The numbers 10 &20 are duplicated to show the representations as ten frames and as base ten materials. The number 100 is also represented as ten tens using base 10 and a 100 square using base ten pictures. This is to support children in identifying numbers in different ways as they move through the next steps of learning.
The cute plant theme adds a sense of fun to engage little ones and helps to create an inviting classroom to brighten up classroom display or your next Math bulletin board.
These cards are text editable, with capacity to edit ten frames and base ten representations too. To access and edit the resources, you will need to download the FREE version of CANVA - please make sure you read the instructions on the first page of the resources before you begin to edit.
All of the posters are designed as A4, but you can use your printer settings to print smaller to generate smaller flashcards, or resources to support with Math Center activities.
Engage your little learners with activities for making ten and help them retain important number facts that they’ll need throughout their school experience. Number bonds or pairs of numbers to ten are so important throughout the math curriculum and once students secure these facts, addition and subtraction, along with other arithmetic and basic operations will become accessible more easily.
There are 10 quality worksheet activities included in the packet (where activities appear to have been duplicated, it is to accommodate both UK and US spelling of color in the description of the use of cents or pence notation) that are in line with common core standards within the math curriculum.
Activities include ten frames, matching activities, missing numbers, mazes, counting, coloring and drawing to find pairs of numbers that add to make ten. Use these as a main lesson focus, for independent learning, math centers, homework or homeschooling activities and see your youngsters engage in number sense and facts to make ten.
These are no prep activities, meaning you can simply download, print and use

Dive into the world of arithmetic with my set of progressive and engaging subtraction worksheet printables, suitable for 7-9 year olds. The worksheets have been designed to build upon concrete and pictorial skills taught in schools so that your little one becomes confident in using the popular column method for subtracting larger numbers and does so with increased ease. This set focuses on subtracting with an exchange (borrowing as we knew it back in the day!) using pictorial and abstract concepts. Worksheets include subtracting two 2 digit numbers, subtracting a 2 digit from a 3 digit number and subtracting two 3 digit numbers.
As a primary school teacher myself, these concepts have been part of the curriculum for years and the activities you find here will support your child’s application and knowledge in column subtraction, whether these are used in the classroom, as part of home schooling or as extra practise at home with adult support.
Give your child the chance they need to master this method and apply it confidently throughout the rest of their math’s education!
This math printable set includes 20 subtraction worksheets for you to download in pdf and print.
Help your little learners secure number bonds to ten using these cute, high quality Rainbow Fish math flashcards and number mats. There are two sets of number flashcards included, a color version and a black and white version. These can be used in versatile ways, where children simply match a pair of cards to make ten, or use as a memory game where they reveal 2 cards to try and find a pair, using memory skills to see where each one has been placed. Print the color cards onto card stock and laminate for repeated use. The black and white version allows students to identify pairs that make ten, counting the scales on the fish if necessary, then glue into workbooks to show as evidence of their understanding.
The other activity includes a set of printable A4 number mats, where children count the scales on the fish, then use any materials, such as pom poms, blocks, paper scales…. to represent additional scales to make ten. They can then complete the missing number in the equation on the mat. These are color copies only and non editable but I personally would laminate them and use them repeatedly on math centers and as early finishing tasks with a range of materials.
These activities provide your learners with engaging tasks to help secure their knowledge of number bonds and counting to ten using a familiar visual tool to keep the learning in Kindergarten and EYFS fun!
