Lessons from the 8J unit in the new Exploring Science scheme of work all about light. Including lessons for: 8Ja Light on the move 8Jb Reflection 8Jc Refraction 8Jd Cameras and eyes 8Je Colour

A series of lessons looking at climate change and global warming. Lesson 1: Causes- what global warming is, what greenhouse gases are, are humans the cause, deforestation and fossil fuels. Lesson 2: Effects- data about climate change, sea level rise, ocean acidification, warming oceans, shrinking ice sheets, extreme weather events, effects on health and a graph drawing exercise. Lesson 3: Solutions- what can governments do, the Paris agreement, what businesses can do and renewable energy. Lesson 4: Solutions- what individuals can do to combat climate change. There are lots of exercises and information included in each lesson and it could easily be condensed down into fewer lessons by excluding some tasks. Likewise some of the tasks could be stretched out across several lesson depending upon the time you have. All worksheets/resources needed are within the PowerPoint as hidden slides.

Revision exercise for a KS3 science class. Intended for the class to spend 10 minutes on each section which has a question from different topics across the Exploring Science KS3 curriculum. Includes content from: 7A Cells, Tissues, Organs and Systems 7F Acids and Alkalis 7G The Particle Model 7K Forces 8A Food and Nutrition 8L Earth and Space There is the outline of a smiley face in each box for students to rate that particular topic by either drawing on a smiley, middle or unhappy face.

Revision activity to help students revise all the topics found in the year 8 part of the new Exploring Science scheme of work. The idea is that students make their way around the clock, spending 5 minutes on each section.
