This is the 2nd lesson of the first unit of Theme 5 : Partage de la Planète, Unité 1 : L’environnement. Ready to go lessons based on the new (2020) IB programme. (Based on the Oxford book but the book is not necessary to run the powerpoint) This lesson is fit to teach the theme of L’environnement with IB students, and to build up necessary vocabulary and grammar. It includes authentic and interesting exercises to discover the IB “formal letter” text format based on the context of the environment and the theme of the planet in danger. There are pictures and prompts to encourage group discussions, contextualized grammar exercises to master the agreement of the past participles, and scaffolded tasks for students to end up writing a formal letter. It also contains a starter to make students share and discuss their ecological habits as well as a plenary. Answer keys are included. Fits both SL and HL.

This is the third lesson of the third unit of Theme 1 : Identité, Unité 3 : Langue et Identité. Ready to go lessons based on the new (2020) IB programme. Ready to go lessons which follow “Le Nouvel Edito B1”, (The book is not necessary to run the powerpoint as texts are incluted) and suited to all B1 learners. It includes a matching up starter, a listening exercise based on an authentic video that links to the text in edito B1 (empreinte écologique), some research and group works as well as questions and vocabulary to look in a text. A reflection slide is also included. Fits all French B1 learners.

This is a unit of work I created this year during Spring term 2 on: il y a/il n'y a pas, places, directions, and prepositions. It is based on a video game that I played called Legend of Grimrock, an excellent dungeon-crawler on PC. I recorded myself playing and used sequences to create the lessons around it. The resources have had great sucess with the students in my school (especially boys!) Example of activities you will find in the resources: - Bingos - Listening activities and extended reading ones. - Speaking activities while monsters attack or writing activities while attacking the monsters. - odd one out - separate the sentence - etc. All resources are differentiated and have AfL activities included. Videos should be all ready to go in view mode and self-explanatory but please don't hesitate to contact me in case you need more information on how to run something. Keep in mind that my school is an all-ipad school and this is why the powerpoint is linked to many online resources / games. In addition to the powerpoint and videos, here are example of resources included in the pack: - Ready listening made by a native speaker included in powerpoints - Links to relevant Kahoot quizzes - Links to relevant Quizlet vocab sets The resources are in French but can be adapted to any languages, any year group, and potentially any topics if you are imaginative!
