This is a continuation of Lesson 1 : La colocation. Ready to go lessons which follow “Le Nouvel Edito B1â€, (The book is not necessary to run the powerpoint) and suited to all B1 learners.
It follows unit 1 of the book, and includes 2 worksheets : a starter and a writing activity to prepare for a speaking one (speed dating) as well as reading material with questions and activities, vocabulary exercise and reflections at the end.
Fits all French B1 learners.
This is a unit of work I created this year during Spring term 2 on: il y a/il n'y a pas, places, directions, and prepositions.
It is based on a video game that I played called Legend of Grimrock, an excellent dungeon-crawler on PC. I recorded myself playing and used sequences to create the lessons around it. The resources have had great sucess with the students in my school (especially boys!)
Example of activities you will find in the resources:
- Bingos
- Listening activities and extended reading ones.
- Speaking activities while monsters attack or writing activities while attacking the monsters.
- odd one out
- separate the sentence
- etc.
All resources are differentiated and have AfL activities included. Videos should be all ready to go in view mode and self-explanatory but please don't hesitate to contact me in case you need more information on how to run something.
Keep in mind that my school is an all-ipad school and this is why the powerpoint is linked to many online resources / games.
In addition to the powerpoint and videos, here are example of resources included in the pack:
- Ready listening made by a native speaker included in powerpoints
- Links to relevant Kahoot quizzes
- Links to relevant Quizlet vocab sets
The resources are in French but can be adapted to any languages, any year group, and potentially any topics if you are imaginative!
