Median and quartiles from a histogram. Three examples and then a worksheet. I used with a GCSE and Core Maths class.

A series of activities that build up slowly. Towards the end there is a section on using substitution and problems in context. The answers are on (under a white box) or after each slide with the exception of the few slides where pupils try a questions before the main activity. I will go through this question with them.

1 or 2 lessons on drawing cumulative frequency and box plots including medians and interquartile ranges. The worksheet has blank graphs that match up with the data.

Core Maths Data Analysis Revision - I have not used this yet so there are no answers.

The first part involves substituting in numbers the second part is expressions including quadratics.

I used this at the end of a series of lessons on simple functions, inverse functions and composite functions.

Suggestion - start by letting pupils have a go at the first question before mentioning a two way table.

Aimed to be used at the end of teaching functions.

Aimed a high ability students. Includes plotting linear graphs, using y=mx+c, finding midpoints, parallel and perpendicular lines.

A series of lessons on solving simultaneous quadratic equations. There is reference to linear equations to help pupils grasp the methods. When they came across solving a quadratic when the coefficent of x^2 was greater than 1 we used the formula as the class were not secure in other methods yet. The worksheet is to finish with.

Percentages increase, decrease on a calculator with mixed worksheet. This is aimed at a lower foundation class or KS3 class.

Working in terms of pi. The first section is just applying the correct formula and simplifying. The second section involves solving/rearranging formula.

The first lesson is all about lines of symmetry. The second part is about order of rotations. You will need tracing paper.

A series of lessons on order of operations including negatives.

Mixed questions on drawing accurately using a protractor and compass.

Practice of using the mean, median, mode and range.

Step by step lessons to try and get pupils to understand the methods for multiplying and dividing fractions.
