This worksheet asks students to look at two examples of evolution happening over human life times. Both examples include a species of lizard that has either had to adapt to a new environment or has had to deal with the introduction of competition into their habitat. The higher worksheet has the students answer more general questions about the research and its implications. The lower worksheet uses the sheet to re-enforce curriculum knowledge about evolution.

Refraction, Finding Refractive index worksheet

This is a worksheet that provides students with a table to fill out in order to help them find the refractive index of the air glass boundary. It also provides a diagram to support them. The worksheet also asks the students to summarise the experiment and provides a markscheme. The worksheet with a powerpoint that includes instructions can be found here. /teaching-resource/refraction-finding-refractive-index-12049987 The experiment is the basic shining a light through a glass block. It could be done for A level, but it breaks down the instructions for the experiment in a very basic way for 11-16 year olds.

Torture sqaure - maths multiplication

This contains an excel spreadsheet, a powerpoint slide and instructions This is a multiplication table. Can be differentiated from 6-18. For less able or younger kids simply set the numbers lower. For top set year 11 you could have higher numbers such as 96! Put the numbers you want the kids to multiply together on the excel spreadsheet and it will automatically update on the activity slide of the powerpoint. This is a common classroom activity but I have designed it to be dead simple to use. everything is automatic SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS: ONLY CHANGE THE NUMBERS ON THE QUESTION PAGE OF THE EXCEL SPREADSHEET. EVERYTHING ELSE WILL SORT ITSELF OUT Note: The powerpoint / excel link sometimes does not survive the downloading process. It is simple to replicate though Copy the question table from excel Paste special (home tab) paste link paste microsoft excel worksheet object Do the same for answers DETAILS INSTRUCTIONS There are TWO pages in the excel document. Only change the numbers in the QUESTION PAGE The answers page will AUTOMATICALLY update. There are TWO powerpoint slides. One to project to the students in order to complete the activity. The other to project when you want to show the answers. The powerpoint slide will automatically update when you change the numbers in the excel spreadsheet.
