Access to Google Earth is needed for almost all sessions. Fact file for lesson 4 was one taken from twinkl. Font used is KG Red Hands - available for download from the dafont website and kinetic letters, or you can change it to your own fonts.

A 6 lesson unit of work for a mixed Year 2/3 class that could be easily adapted to suit a single year group. The lesson sequence of this unit of work: Can I name and locate continents and oceans and understand where I live and how location affects climate? Can I recognise what a mountain is and locate key mountain ranges around the world? Can I describe what a volcano is and where the world’s volcanoes are located? Can I explain how the movement of the Earth causes volcanoes and earthquakes? Can I describe the impact of volcanoes and earthquakes on people and places and identify environmental regions?
